Will we ever see a decent japanese tier 9 premium BB again?

Since Musashi has been removed from the store a few years back there has been a hole left behind in the japanese line when it comes to a decent premium tier 9 BB. Yes we had the Hizen in last years christmass event but that ship is just objectively bad and was only available for a short time.

Musashi is probably not coming back, and Hizen being bad. it should be time to introduce a new tier 9  Prem BB. 

Does anyone know if there is any potential candidate that could fill this tier 9 void for japan? Something inbetween Hizen and Musashi would seem balanced.

Found another variants of project 13

One as 12 gunned Amagi and other as 16 gun one. Possibly these 2 can be as T9 and T10 second IJN BB line (like the German one now)

Interesting find. the 16 gun amagi seems interesting as we don't have any battleships that have a total of 16 guns( i could be wrong). would surely make her a unique addition to the game.

I like this option the most.

However her guns seem to be very similair to musashi but minus 1 gun which makes her probably too strong for tier 9. except if her strong guns are counter balanced by a significant weakness.

Hope we will see WG do something with those designs.

EDIT:She looks similair to amagi. maybe a tier 9 BB with the guns of a tier 10 but the armor profile of a tier 8 to counter balance those guns could be a nice way to balance.

Yes. Wedgie won't let any potential source of monetization to sink below the waves.

As Macarthur92 illustrates these Ijn concepts, I'd bet we will see one or two (or even three) new Ijn high tier premiums.

Well lets just hope those ships will be both interesting and balanced. unlike the Musashi which makes tier 7 a hell to play even today.

I also just hope we never see a Hizen like disaster again. that ship really blueballed me and made me want a decent premium  tier 9 Japanese battleship even more.

C. Colombo and Lyon both have 16 guns.

 

Hizen was the only Dockyard ship besides the Puerto Rico i didnt bothered to  get.

The only Japanese battleship not yet in the game is Yamashiro, sister ship of Ise, excluding pre-dreadnoughts (and Settsu, sister ship of Kawachi...)

 

The next battleship they will add will be either her, or a fictional one. From there, everything is possible...

 

I think they should just buff Hizen. Maybe buff her guns' accuracy, a slightly thicker armour here and there.

Hizen isn't gonna be buffed, she is not producing any money.

Well Musashi has a lot of hp and for T9 and decent armour on paper (yes I know about the cheek) with good torpedo protection. So this one would be stripped from those strong points + it has worse gun mounting so it would nedd to show more broadside to shoot from all guns + one less gun. It could be fine.

They could introduce her for higher than standard amount of coal (280k) or for dubs, then it could be buffed.

12 guns what isn't to like, now give it a spotter plane and 27Km range like an Iowa we are good to go

Here's a 16 gun version as a T10 (ofc with more modern superstructure like that above) 

In this case seems like the IJN wanted to test the quadruple barrel turrets like the French did.

The last tier 9 IJN BB WGing put out, Hizen, was a hot mess.

Flat out garbage. 

Given WGing's recent cut and past trend with Tulsa, etc. I don't see them creating anything interesting or fun, so jsut as well they leave it alone. 

Eventually they will figure out a way to monetize/nerf Musashi, just as they did with Missouri.

Well, i don't think Hizen is that bad, i find her pretty fun actually. Yet, as an IJN and BB main i'd love to have another tier IX japanese premium BB. Yamato herself has like 30 preliminary designs which we have 2 of them in game as Izumo and Hizen. Come on WG, you have lots of designs to choose from.
