For me, it's finishing off my Halsey campaign. I like to grind regular Tech Tree lines to a historical ship (no set tier).

I'm waiting for Ita DD line & whatever WG might produce in the future. I will get a Moltke when it's free to access.

Otherwise, I like to Div a bit (should Div more) & play some NBs for my clan.

T2 to T4 (I have some rare ships there) is quite a bit of fun especially when there's a good number of real players in the Random queue.

I hate the horrid CV rework. I would prefer RTS CVs to return.  I do not think Subs are utilized properly by WG.

Nor do I like any of these Super Ships, nor the farcial Hybrids & certainly not any of the new premium jokes.

Really, only the forum, and to be honest I've pretty much given up playing the game anyway.

The expectation of next Azur Lane collab, Yavuz, Averoff and the forum. That is it.

I play what I still enjoy. So I have a regular diet of randoms for a few grinds. Currently Roon, Izumi and FdG. Then I play silver ranked. Brawls if they are there. Don't care for the current ops, I usually use the normal ones to grind T6 and T7 ships I don't really like.

Normally I play DDs and Cl, which I like best. Few BBs, no CV, no subs.

Took a 4 month break but nothing else could scratch that itch

That said, won’t buy premium time or ships due to CV rework and now subs

As a free to play game it is good

The folorn hope that the next match will actually be good and enjoyable.

It rarely is.

Lately I have a string of losing matched no matter what I do, and BB games where I loose all my health because  and all my shells either miss or do no damage.

How is it possible to get three defended ribbons from a salvo but only one hit?

I don't know man the more I think about it the more I want to leave, I've been losing so much lately it's not even fun anymore. I play alone. Why continue ? Cut the losses, do something else with my time...

1) Wanting to take screenshots for articles about historical warships on my blog.

2) Fact that there are, occasionally, games with no carriers, no submarines, and some brawling. Like gambling: you keep coming back for that elusive perfect result.

3) This forum. Honestly, it is more fun than the game at this point, but reminds me that I do have a game installed.

4) Lack of alternative.

1) The game feels great: ship models, scenery, sound design...

2) Playing in divisions and reading the forums

3) Lots of game modes: Key Battles last time (not sure this time...), Operations, Ranked...plus mid-tier Randoms feel like a different universe than T9-10: more carefree and just a lot easier, but not so much that you don't feel like you've earned it

4) Lots of powerful/quirky/gimmicky ships, especially freemiums. Strong ones like the JB are rewarding, but weird ones like the Colbert are hilarious.

5) Lots of memories from great games. I must've uploaded a couple of hundred replays on https://replayswows.com/, and I have 120 on YouTube at this moment.

I'd been taking endgame screenshots of my nicer matches ever since I was derping around in the Charleston, Izyaslav and Wyoming, but after this match I began putting them on the website, and having a stunner became even more satisfying

Short term rewards

Medium term rewards

Long term rewards

Has been industry standard gamming  addition tactics for decades ....Couple that with RNG (Rage Neurology Gamming)  the Hi and low emotional roller-coaster  enhances the addictive nature of games

Couple this with sad miserable  no real life characters

And you have a World of War gamming Victim

It’s the overwhelming love and support for the playerbase by WG, the totally fair balanced and extraordinary MM, and above all its not about money grabbing and endless BS Paper ships.

Nothing. Came back cause i was bored with space engineers. Was fun for abit..About 1.5 month back playing alot. Then subs happen...

Last time i quit was after CV rework..

Seems me quitting is when i am getting treated like a ginuea pig i common. Uninstall today, and im not making the mistake of reinstalling this time.

Gross misunderstatement... I bet you have every single one of those! :Smile_teethhappy: I have already seen your Iwaki and Arkansas, so where are you hiding your Nikolai?

Honestly, it's the time and money I put into this game...this would all be for nothing if I give up on it at this point, especially now that I'm getting closer to my first steel ship. When that's done, I prolly won't be grinding lines anymore but rather just enjoy playing all the unique ships I've collected over the years.

Though I still have fun with these festive events like Twilight Hunt/Rogue Wave/ Sunray in the Darkness etc.

When it comes to online gaming, my two best options are WoWS or Elder Scrolls Online so when you compare it with all the overhyped first-person shooter games in the market rn, this isn't half bad.

Plus, operations are returning next year, so that's another thing to look forward to.

This is almost the same sunk cost fallacy that prevents WG from removing CVs and subs. You mean you either did not have any fun playing, or that the fun you had would somehow be erased if you quit? Quitting isn't an all or nothing solution. You don't need to erase your account. Everything you have will be there if you decide to come back a week, a month, a year later.

I'm not saying that you should quit if you really don't want to. I just see so many comments and have witnessed personnally people that just keep playing because they think they lose something permanent if they quit. Then they are utterly miserable, have no fun at all, and still keep playing. Try taking a break, it's extremely refreshing.

I play only the Halloween event. Devs can play their subs (that's if they ever play their own game)...

Combination of sunk cost (both time and money), habit or addiction whatever you want to call it,  inertia and fact there just isnt an alternative for this kind of play really...
