I got Tirpirz some time ago and I love the ship. Now Brandenburg come out. Honestly to me it looks like Tirpitz minus (only speed is better) but on another hand i like ships which have strong secondaries so I am wondering is it worth it to get it if I have Tipritz....

What are your opinions.

Thank you,

Well she is a Tirp with Sharn guns basically; yes yes I know its not exactly the same caliber but more or less they fir the bill...

I got her for 1250 gold so for me she was worth it, for full price IDK TBH

If you have the Tirpitz and are happy with her, then no it's not worth it.

Brandenburg plays like a battlecruiser. You need to switch ammo frequently to make her work. And it's better to maneuver in her than try to tank damage.

I would say no, since you already have Tirpiz. The Brandenburg has more main battery firepower, but if you want that sort of thing you can just grind any random tech tree BB line.

Objectively, not really; speaking as someone who treats these ships as enormously fat DDs with a built-in firework display (and mainly uses them in Coop), Tirpitz does the job better, plus - as pointed out by @hellhound666 - Brandenburg is nerfable.

Subjectively, I still got her anyway, because I don't get easily bored with playing floating firework displays in Coop (especially when they have torps); there is also some value in the extra volume of fire from the main guns in Coop, where you can get close enough to get more hits.

Sensible answer is 'no', and less sensible answer is probably something to do with 'moar dakka'...

Thank you,

It is basically a less tanky, but more cruiser like Tirpitz. Cruiser like guns, cruiser like agility, less tanky (but better armor coz higher icebreaker and 80mm deck in some parts.

I don't think its worth it. Better off with Odin or Derpitz, or even Bismarck

Don't have either of them, but from paper stats it is clear that Brandenburg's guns are nothing like Scharnhorst's - Scharn should overpen much less...

You will probably be able to get a discount Tirpitz black on black friday. Previous years it has been 30% cheaper than the silver version and looks much nicer.

I don't have brandenburg but I suspect Tirpitz is also stronger.

I consider Brandeburg same as Odin, with more guns.

Have got both and they're both good in different ways. Brandenburg is quicker and has a faster rudder shift, Tirpitz has more hp.

Just done a comparison quick co-op battle with all the T8 German battleship/battlecruisers fairly equal results on them all including the Zieten

Would have like to compare Odin with Brandenburg but it's no longer available.

Odin is a big cruiser, quite Graf Spee like. Brandenburg is a proper Battle Cruiser. I think I like her more than Agir, tbh.

IX Z-44:

  • Detectability Range by Sea decreased from 7.8 to 7.5 km. Other detectability ranges were changed accordingly.

IX MARCO POLO:

  • Sigma parameter increased from 1.8 to 1.9.

fairly sure we have moved on past that tag

Also balance changes mean, the ships can also get buffed if needed

Just wanted to point that out.

i dont give a floating fck if they nerf or buff - if wargambling is altering the deal i should have a chance to back out of it if i dont like the change

got both of them, secondaries on Brandenburg seems to me better than on Tirpitz, ship is more fun to play, however her armor is closer to Agir than to Tirpitz, HP wise it`s a problem. You need to know when to push.
Should be played like Agir with devastating secondaries and extra turret.

Anyway, it`s money well spent even if you have Tirpitz (or Pommern).

if you have a big problem with 1 second reload buff or nerf, or sigma buff

Don't buy it

With the way, ship balancing has progressed, balancing premium/special ships, and notifying the buyer before making that purchase is the most well-rounded decision made

There has never been a "change" since you have accepted those adjustments with your registration.

And you accepted to not request any kind of compensation.
