Better matchmaking for CV's.

Tier VIII CV's do not belong in Tier X games because the AA of Tier X ships just shred the planes to bits. Yes you can contribute but you end up losing most of your squadrons to the point where if you don't have a heavy squadron build you won't contribute as much as you should. It's a bit like in World of Tanks having Tier VIII tanks in Tier X battles. Yes there are exceptions such as the T-95 Skoda or the ISU-152k but the majority of other tanks just become fodder for the Tier X's. 

 

This is how the matchmaking should be: Tier IV CV's should only be in Tier IV and V games.

                                                                          Tier VI should be in Tier VI and VII games.

                                                                          Tier VIII should be in Tier VIII and IX games.

                                                                          Tier X should be in Tier X games only. 

 

Just downgrade their power a little and keep them in the appropriate Tier's and you go a long way in fixing these ships.

I suggest to improve your CV skills.

• it is possible to limit your planes losses in +2MM, that you can field full squadrons even at the end of a match
• not all ships in a +2 Tier match are two Tiers higher
• not all ships two Tiers higher have good AA

Meh....all classes struggle sometimes. Nothing wrong with CVs having the same problem every now and then. I'd prefer a second rework instead.

CVs have to be careful in T8 while in T10 games.

 

hmm I think that counts for all ships. T8 BB in T10 games are ..more fun? Eventhing pens you, outranges you and out DPS you.

Do yo see those black clouds around ships? They are called flaks. Avoid them, play with your speed, dodge them.  And you will be fine.

Then remember ships with strong continuous damage and do not attack them, unless you have to.

Simple.

WoWs was lagging behind in crap, so they are working hard to catch up. CV rework was a major step for them!

To be fair, his T8 CV WR (broken RU fantasy CV, of course) is almost 30%. It's only the very effective T10 AAA that prevents him from attaining Unicum status. Or he could just drop his payload out of AAA range.

While the AA values in this game are sort of all-or-nothing and especially being uptiered in a CV or uptiered against a CV sucks, not all TX ships have even passable AA. It's just that the ones that don't aren't played all that much. 

 

The entire problem is still that the CV-ship interactions are unsatisfying on both ends, because nobody outplays you with their AA. It's just how much numbers they have. Although getting lots of plane kills in some powerful AA boat can be satisfying, so idk.

The game continues to function and one side still wins while another loses and it doesn't seem to be down to the CV.

Large part of your issue is that you've played more Tier 8 games than Tier 5 - 7 combined. 

 

Don't rush up the tech tree and perhaps the game won't frustrate you so much.

Rly, if you know how to dodge flaks, and be a smart guy, and wants to learn them, believe me you can do REAL good, but you know, you have to improve, because i play CVs too and well, i have no problems with that at all
