So, I uninstalled just after the LWM controversy, and have since found much more enjoyable games on Steam - and rediscovered some old favourites too. If a WW1 mode comes along, and WG changes its culture , then I might think about taking the game up again, but till then, I'll just read the forum and watch the continued decline. 8 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I can only assume that my GPU melted under the dangerous environment known as World of Warships and now refuses to be mounted. The submarines were just too much for my poor laptop. On the right is a gaming pc that can’t play games ever since 2020. This is because the GPU was tortured a significant amount when playing World of Warships. Now I am not restarting the game, not for a few good months. It also crashed my computer and all my settings were reset so I had to configure everything, audio, video, carrousel, port, etc. WG get your act together and stop doing this on every update. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

[-RNR-] Maris_Piper Players 2,012 posts Report post #11 Posted October 7, 2021 I keep looking out for Warship Style alternative games and I know some are supposedly in the pipeline or maybe Wargaming could perhaps do a Warships Classic game with ships and a meta from before the insanity crept in, I know they have to make money but the slide into the mobile game gutter is getting to be inexorable. The LWM fiasco and the fall out from that tipped me over the edge from Full On Whale to It. a bit of Co-Op a few missions and a forlorn hope the muppetry goes away for me now 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But, repeated "communication errors", increasingly invasive monetisation, constant exposure to loot boxes and continuingly adding content which is detrimental to the game, and then the Developer's attitude, well, a Senior Developer mainly, to both the playerbase, and those who promoted the game and continually approached him with ideas and thoughts which were representative of a sensible majority of the playerbase to ensure the game maintained standards and commons sense. WG have made it clear subs are happening and they have no interest in balancing them for the foreseeable future. Logging in today for a game or two was quite a shock for me. SUBS. ARE. IN. RANDOMS. WTF. TL;DR game is not uninstalled yet, but if they keep the subs as a regular part of the mainstream game (meaning mostly randoms and to an extent, clan battles and ranked), I'll stop playing it for good (I haven't played ranked since they introduced subs). I hate CVs with passion, but I hate subs EVEN more. You can push me only so far before I start avoiding you for good. It was the last straw that broke the camels back, ever increasing landslide-games were a large contribution to them quitting wows. I play around 1 to 5 games on average. Anniversary SCs made me play coop more. I haven't played random battles in maybe 2 months? I've pretty much lost all interest in Ranked too. This is what? 3rd round of ranked-rework? ITS THE SAME EFFING SEASON GOING OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN WITH NOTHING CHANGING! Play CooP to get through anniversary and other tasks. Haven't touched the rank faecal show in two seasons.. Convoy was okay but got boring fast. Halloween... oh just the same as the previous years... 'EXPLETIVE' your SUB 'Bovine Excrement'...
