Exactly the opposite will happen, sometimes in a game you can see an opening to push when you know where most of the enemy ships are.

Now that's not possible because unless all subs are dead they could be anywhere.

So the only course of action is to camp more and further away, wait for a sub to hunt you and attack it as a group, repeat until they are all dead then play the game properly.

Oh btw you are trying to confuse people again ? 0.10.9 patch notes include Khabarovsk and co changes planned for 2022 ? WHY ???

well, if there EVER was a good time to take a LOOOOOOONG break from this game, i guess thursday will be it, subs in randoms is literally the DUMBEST thing i've seen in a long line of dumb decisions by you at WG, and let's not forget the so called "new ship" coming to replace the kurfurst, it's literally the kurfurst with new guns, that's all!.

this is getting out of hand WG, you NEVER listen to feedback from the community, NEVER!. most videos if not all of them, on youtube are all against subs being implemented into randoms, even co-op, and you decide to put them in ranked of all things, and people were angry beyond belief, now your gonna ruin randoms aswell (fair enough randoms is already a stupid mode now with all the new things your putting into it) atleast in WoT they FORCE new players to LEARN how to play the game before throwing them against other players, in WoWS you just make players play a few co-op games and then send them out against human players, what are new players supposed to learn from a few games shooting at AI? please tell me, high tier randoms used to be atleast a somewhat safe haven for players who had learned the game, now by putting rental subs in randoms you take that haven away from the playerbase.

if you, WG, want players to come back to the game, and bring back the GLORY DAYS, of WoWS, back when people actually liked WoWS more then WoT (or WoWP, but that game is crap anyway) then start listening to the players, not your wallets.

I am ingame sometimes angry, even toxic yes (who doesnt), but in last 2 years I give WG no money, but collect many many free gifts they offer. When they try to milk you, milk them. :cap_like:

We clearly stated, that this will happen in the beginning of the next year and to give players enough time to prepare for those changes, we mentioned this publicly in the update article.

People whi-, I mean that are... "unhappy" with SSs shouldn't complain: The BBs are OP, a "one captain - navy": a mix of CV, the various cruiser-types and the CV,  - of which is has it's own unique depth charge plane! On top of that able to degauss the hull, so that SS torpedos are ineffective (semi-accurate, this was developed for naval mines).

As always it's like a sniper with a cannon, able to take out SSs and some DDs in one hit!

Easier hits even for a newbie.

 

And you say the SSs are overpowered?!?

 

Next thing given to BBs will probably be BGM-109 Tomahawks from a Phalanx CIWS (long distance cruise, also anti-ship and-sub),  - infinite ammo of course because all other ships are too... I dont know!

 

 

SUGGESTIONS:

The CV could at least get upgradable torpedo defence and the same depth-charge bombers or torpedos to auto-aim on SSs (except on max depth!)! 

Minelaying/-sweeping: A short destroyer-tree (three ships) or another upgrade (choosing Torpedos to mines or depth charges to mines and sweeping gear). Mines may be placed, when being still and takes XX seconds and the same to sweep (or have a device activated to detonate mines while sailing). Mines works on SSs as well in periscope and surfaced.

Minelaying a minesweeping Subs existed FYI.

 

Subs shouldn't be pre-configured. Just like any other ship, it should be upgradable.

(The French btw had a SS with a huge cannon on. Different countries had a carrier-sub type with at least one plane onboard)

 

There seem to be no benefit by periscope depth.

SSs have snorkle and antenna. In periscope electricity shouldn't be depleted, as they can vent with the snorkle. They should be able to use their diesel engines and vent the gas.

The antenna should still enable one to take over an objective, but with a penalty of extra time.

Torpedos from vessels and aviation should be able to hit the SS if at periscope depth, but with a penalty.

An SS is normally damaged the most by HE, right? At periscope depth it should be shielded by the water (if it must be damaged, then like a light depth charge, satisfied?!?), but take damage fra AP-shells and dive-bomber types, with a possibility of flooding.

 

The damage control has too long of a cooldown in my opinion.

Maybe it's just because I'm unlucky with my opponents :).

It IS your watery eyes...
Theres are players in both camps. BBs (and some cruiser-skippers) just aren't used to competition. Now they can't safely take one-shots, scoring tonnes of point and live to tell the tale.

 

BBs are becoming more and more overpowered and players of those are still upset.

BBs becoming more OP? please do give people here the source of that statement, because if you actually open your eyes and see properly, you'll see that it's cruisers (petro, stalingrad, smolensk to name but a few) are those that are ruining the game right now, and MY source? the game itself.

I have a feeling that a lot of people will quit WoWs because of submarines in Random Battles. Same thing happened to WoT when they opened the door to cars, WG didn't learn their lesson it seems.

Imagine playing a BB and 3 enemy DDs, 1 CV, 1 Dutch cruiser with airstrike, 1 cruiser hidden in the mist (firing HE with fire starting abilities that exceed 50%) and 2 subs are after you and you cannot see any of them, sound like fun. yeah, REAL FUN.

What is the next step of "realism"? Naval mines? Gun batteries firing from the shores? V2 rockets? Laser beams from the sky? Sometimes less is more ..

Instead of submarines, WG should make MM more balanced, limit the amount of 2-tier-difference battles a player has ( they say 8/20 battles are against +2 tier enemies, but if you keep a record, they are more), reduce the dpm some cruisers do and their ability to start fires ( in some cases 1 every 3 shots starts a fire), fix the RNG factor that make a cruiser showing her citadel, taking an AP salvo from a BB , taking 1050hp damage.

There are many things that decrease gaming experience should be fixed first, but does WG care about it's clients??

I gave them 1500 gold for a random bundle so I could get the 250 tokens from the Missouri is back event.....and got the Missouri....

Okay, I guess that means I'm taking another break from this Thursday (when WG shoves subs into our faces in random) until the Twiglight Hunt

becomes available. I'll play that mode into the ground (loved it last year), then once TH is over, it's uninstall time, until subs are removed from random...

which will never happen....so I guess this uninstall will be the last one.

I had asked & complained about Missouri's inaccuracy issues a long time ago and was told by WG's staff that there was nothing wrong with Missouri.... 

You guys really need to pay much more attention to what you're writing and what you're checking.

Scratch that. Still have the issue. :Smile_sad:

-Allied Commander voice lines only sometimes play.

-Ship Captain voice lines mostly play (although sometimes not)

-Torpedo warning sometimes plays (aka. Torpedo direct front etc.)

-Aircraft pilot voice lines don't play except for on the first attack run where it sometimes plays the voice line (eg. with Star Scream you get "Seekers got the Autobots") however after this it will not play again for that squadron type for the rest of the match.

 

All other aircraft voice lines such as:

 

Under AA fire

Plane Shot down

Launching

Recovering

 

Don't play at all.

 

Could you give the sound department another poke please? I'm still not convinced they haven't all died and the last "patch" wasn't just one of them twitching and hitting the enter key randomly. I'd go through player support but... well... I'd just get told "We're aware of the issue and it is being worked on" like every other time (Seriously, over a year now guys and it's still not working that's pretty bad and not a good look on WarGamings half)

 

If your having such problems correcting the audio channels used might I suggest that you give players the option in the audio menu to simply bypass the whole sorry 7.1 mess  and allow us to force the game into stereo mode by overwriting the auto checker that sets the audio system based on what the game detects.

 

That way we can at least have all the audio playing properly even if it's not in surround sound. 

 

I'd also like to point out this does infact impact your profits, I'm not the only person with these issues (multiple threads on here and on the NA forum about it) and I know others I've had conversations with (along with myself) who are querying now what is the point in collecting/buying Unique commanders when we can't hear half the stuff they say.

 

Take the upcoming WarHammer collab, an Ork Captain would normally have been a must buy (Coz It'z Right Propa Orky dat iz!) but with the in game audio the way it is... well what's the point?

@YabbaCoe Since the WWI era German ships now finally have the Kaiserliche Marine flag could you also add commanders wearing the WWI Imperial Navy Uniform? (Like with the russian tree where WW1 ship commanders have Imperial Russian uniforms and interwar and WW2 ones Soviet Uniforms)

As a part of our collaboration with Games Workshop, we've added Warhammer 40,000 themed content:

  1. Ships VIII Cross of Dorn and VIII Ship Smasha. The ships' characteristics are identical to those of VIII Mainz and VIII Fenyang."



    @YabbaCoe   I'm confused.    It says 'we've added...' above, but I can't find where to obtain these ships ( both look nice, good work art dept! ).

    Are they actually available?    Or are they upcoming?    It would have been nice if the article made this clear.
