From the devblog:

https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/217

The availability, price, and characteristics of some signals and camouflages were changed:

  • The For Meritorious Service, Rising, Blue Lagoon, and the economic signal India Bravo Terrathree are no longer able to be obtained.
  • The bonuses and price price of Type 1 and Type 2 camouflages changed:
    • The camouflages now grant -3% to the ships' Detectability and +4% to the attackers' shells dispersing.
    • The camouflages price increased from 7500 to 22500 credits.

We work on the separation of exterior elements (e.g. camouflages, signals) from the economic bonuses. The aforementioned changes of availability and the characteristics of camouflages and signals are just a part of that big change. We shall share more detailed information later.

Given this is WG we're talking about, what odds will people give me on them doing something that makes all permaflages a wasted spend...?

SO they are further clamping down on the silver and xp economy... Hope all those guys that wanted this are happy now, one will have to save up for 6 months of every day play to get one silver T10 ship unlocked and payed for... :cap_tea:

Knowing WG they will certainly punish players for spending money on their game. Perma camo owners will be left holding the bag after this is over.

So WG is turning type 1 & 2 camos into type 5?

This ^

Why??

And 1 bonus costs 7500 cr, so why do two bonuses cost 22500 cr, in stead of 15000 cr?

To milk more credits from F2P players so they either quit the game or buy premium time.

I have actually been bying prem time, since the game was launched, because I liked the game, and wanted to support it.

But as it is headed now, I will no longer do that.

Mao's China had The Great Leap Forward.

WG has The Great Steal Forward or The Great Milking Forward

It is a long term plan to make this game basically unplayable without major investment. I don't know if you've noticed but since 2021 Shop offers no (ship or otherwise) bundles with doubloons. Only credits or meaningless (often) signals/expendable camouflages.

Doubloons "Special" exchange to credits (never ever did it) is no longer 2500:1 - in 2021 its 1600:1

Doubloons exchange to FXP is from the beginning bad no matter 25 or ("Special") 35:1. To be fair in 1 doubloon monetary value it would have to be ~42-43:1

5th Anniversary camo  got inflated price this year plus worse bundle content. It was a meh deal last year, but it is truly atrocious in 2021. Oh and I can prove it WG, no worry. That offer is a lie. +31%, not minus.

1942029998_Wargaming5thanniversarypack.png.62c360008e22a79cd33a27c458e066b4.pngWargaming6thanni.thumb.png.214c902138ec5d42e6b9ef460617b13e.png

System has been changed with total cold calculated perfidy to force people to pay (and only pay) for doubloons, credits, signals. Nothing changed after recent $hitstorms. Things getting worse by the week. Now Transformers Collection designed to buy at least 40 boxes for something that was totally free 6 months ago or so. Now I know why MrConman didn't mentioned  economic changes on stream, just said read the DevBlog for all the details. So out of curiosity what people who have lump of those camos or signals can expect. Will WG remove that content unceremoniously like nothing happened? Basically steal what you got fair and square. They started stealing with Moskva perma-camo. I wouldn't put this behind them at all.

It's ironic because I got yesterday large lumps of Blue Lagoon from Supercontainers (and I've used like 3 pieces from my stash in 2 years). I'm really puzzled because neither of those camos is easy to obtain, quite the opposite (Meritorious Service has been removed from SC loot table 2 years ago, BL from shop in 2018). Especially in case of BL income bonus is so trivial (10%) you can hardly notice it on the end screen (unless you have truly amazing game). Is extra 5k-10k credits more so destructive to WoWs? The moment they screw with perma-camos I delete the account that day. Especially T9 is basically unplayable without premium camo as most expensive tier in the game to buy, equip and run.

So it reads. We will have then 3 different paintjobs for silver with the same values. I am ok with that.

1 and 2 were (IMHO) the least attractive and - for sure the least bought and most sold. IBT3 Signal seems to have equally less interest.

I am sure this was a consequence out of looking into the "magic spreadsheet"

The other 7,500 credits is for the glue to put them together.

I'd rather call what rewords, actions, meta changes, economy changes.... casino house rules.. whatever.. that Wargambling engages in as 'WG's Great Leak Windward'.

If this is not outrageously opposed by the playerbase - then WG will know they can do anything they want...

Because all that will remain is the "payerbase".

Sounds like devalue perma Camos! And if you look around how many are around especially at high tiers this is pretty significant!

Personally I’d  like to see 2 or 3 generic permanent camo’s that’ll fit any ship for a sensible price, in addition to the usual suspects.

Imagine forking out 5k (?) for a T6 national camo, for the sole reason of +35% creds, and then WG says: NOPE. :Smile_coin:

So taking the usual scope of WG reworks as a frame of reference.... bearing in mind that none of the previous attempts have actually made the game better in any appreciable way?

CV REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWORK (Gets longer every year folks)

Captain Reeeeework

Paragon/NTC/RB Reeeeeework

CC Rewor....actually that might not have been planned but it was about as 'successful' as very other WG rework so it rates the list.

Coming soon - Submarine/ASW Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeework

Hell - with the above paragons of unmitigated brilliance, stunning elegance and flawless game design under their belts - I see no reason to worry. Honestly. None at all......

......If you'll excuse me I'll be otherwise engaged for the next few hours dying of hysterical laughter.
