All ships after were either DY, event collection reasons or free currency aimed at getting extra SC during events. Like I bought Colbert and Max Immelmann this patch solely for the extra SC. Only ship that I still remotely desire and that was released this year is the Hyuuga. But it has this “ can be changed at the whim of WG” noose around its neck that stops me from actually buying her. I do play Strassbourg ( if it still counts as a 2021 release being Xmas 2020 ) when Narai is live though and I find her ok as a premium BB in this scenario. I did enjoy bombing BBs cowering behind islands but the ship itself is still a mystery to me. As for my favorite, there hasn't been one since I brought Siegfried (or was it 2019? )last year. I'm not sure whether I like it or not, but hey, it cost me nothing as I just got the minimum starter pack with dubloons I accumulated from missions and ranked and the missions beyond that were fairly easy. Which means they are not so impressive. And Tone is a cruiser, also at T8 less tanky/boomboom than Ise at T6. At twice the price... well, not really worth it IMO.
