Which tick box in the Subscription Settings area did you set to get it to work for you - or did you just tick everything?
 

I'm waiting for a response from @YabbaCoe to confirm which tick box needs to be set as I keep getting dumped to the account settings screen when I try to claim the reward.

We still didn't receive a confirmation which one is needed. So in case your birthday is very close, like tomorrow, better tick everyone of those "I want to"

From the article it tells me I need to:

Scroll down and you'll have the subscription box, click on manage and then you can set them there.

By telling me to just blanket set everything to "Yes" it undermines the whole purpose of the Subsciption Management section of the Accounts Settings area.

 

The whole point of those options is to allow me to choose how I want (and more importantly how I don't want) WG to be able to contact me. As you can see from my previous post with a screen grab of my settings, I have a lot of settings set to "No" - because I don't want to receive materials that are not relevant to me.

If WG has a feature in the game (like this particular feature) that requires me to "Give us permission to send you letters with presents to your specified email address." then WG should either provide a specific tick box that allows this, or if it is one of the existing ones that must be set to "Yes" then WG should know which one it is and inform the user base correctly which it is and what the setting does.

As an analogue example:

 

If you had an alarm system installed in your home, and in order to control access to certain areas in different ways you needed to configure the system with some choices - I don't think you would accept an answer from the supplier and installer of the system that you should just "Allow everything to be accessible at all times".

 

I think you would seriously question if it was fit for purpose..

 

My birthday is coming up in the next few days, so I'd appreciate if you could find out the correct setting - rather than just telling me to allow everything.

Well, we can't verify, if those players have birthday now or not. But if they set their birthday for October, they will get rewards now, but at the same time they have to wait entire year for yet another birthday gifts.

It would be the same if we would launch this any day of the year. All the time somebody just had his birthday.

I would recommend that you remove all ticked boxes from the subscribtion now to prevent an overload of mail spam from WeeGee and its counterparts (till a week before your next birthday).

 

Furthermore, the profit for WeeGee will be the overextending spending by players, lured by the 100% cashback, which had closed their wallets since a long time ago (or recently), due to PR disasters and mistreatment of certain CC's/employee's.

 

The gifts represent nothing to them, nor the 100% cashback. All they want is to reopen our wallets again.....

 

Think and reconsider what you have done by opening the box of Pandora by giving them your approval!

In this case, you will get your birthday rewards in September, when is your birthday. Unfortunately, this is not working retrospectively.

So basically, the first one is important to get the email about the birthday and the second one is needed in order to get the notification in the game.
