Distant Voyages Container - Camo Drop Rate.

Hi guys,

 

just checking this one with you guys and devs.

 

So one of the options for the 6 year anniversary tokens is to purchase a Distant Voyages container. 

 

It costs 10 tokens compared to 15 for the guaranteed anniversary perma-camo and there's 3 purchases available to each account. Fine, but it's a bit of gamble of course and while there are a huge amount of perma-camo's and skins available, you might not actually get a camo at all and if you are lucky enough to get one, it could be any of them for any of the featured ships.

 

My question is this. What is the likelihood of getting a perma-camo from the DV container compared to just some signals? What is the drop rate chance, like 50%? 70%? 10%?.

 

Also, I did purchase one and this is why I ask. Sadly I just got some crappy signals or whatever you call em. And so I'm wondering if this is the most likely drop and if you guys think it's not worth bothering with and to perhaps focus on getting all the anniversary perma-camo's first?

 

Finally, did you guys get any interesting camo's or skins from the DV containers and what ones?

Probably much less than 10%.

 

But that is actually good, you have good chance to get 14 dragon flags for the cost of 10 tokens, compared to 5 dragon flags for the cost of 5 tokens.

My point exactly... I will have 194 "Festive Tokens" in total - I will buy:

• 6x "6 Years of World of Warships" containers (each = 1 "Festive tokens")
• 25x "Gift" containers (each = 5 "Festive tokens")
• 3x "Distant Voyages" containers (each = 10 "Festive tokens")

 

I don't know what I will do with the rest (194 - 6 - 25x5 - 3x10 = 33)... must think some more about that...

I got 5 of those containers and only 1 gave me a permanent camo (3 crowns for Skane).

I bought 3 with anniversary tokens and whatever we had gotten for free before that another 2 or 3? Not sure). One drop - Mogador (nice). So maaaaaaybe 10% at most, but my sample is way too small.

mine was about 30%, think between the summer event, Twitch prime, DY and 6th anniversary I got 9-10 free crates and they dropped 3 camos. however that's a rather small sample size, so i would rather don't have too high expectations. 

 

BTW 2 out of 3 camos were completely useless, third one borderline useless at least for me. Katori (premium ship), NO (got both the bionic and the anniversary camo already) and Seattle (which didn't had one, yet i only play her in coop for snowflakes...)

Received a camo for Bourgogne.

Don`t have the ship. Don`t intend to. Don`t know if its luck or meme.. :)

Droprate was quite high for me. Got a total of 12 of these boxes the last few days. ( was crazy enough to grind my brother account for that final part of 39M dmg mission). So 3 crates from tokens and 3 from DY phases. Multiple by 2 accounts.

 

Got Tirpitz Norwegian, z23 from the dephts camo ( did not know it existed),Victorian white for Cheshire and the Halloween camo for Nassau.

 

So 4 out of 12 is not that bad but…

 

Tirpitz extra camo. Not usefull

Z23 camo, ok a bit better in stats then the free perm camo ( 50%xp vs 50% CXP and 50% FXP)

Cheshire alt camo for a premium that already has a camo, is a ship he does not have and also does not want.

Nassau is a T3…

Turns out we cant have more then 100 crates stacked. Game wigs out at crate 101. I wanted to collect 6th and Xmas together and not open them, guess even that can't be done. Lootgameplay 2/10 would not play again ^^

THey did announce this restriction some time ago that this was being limited.

Again the cynics amongst us would say that this was done to make it harde to check Supercontainer drop  percentages.

I accumulate normal 'earned' containers until a super comes along. Longest wait -  around150 containers (before the change)
shortest around 50. 

 

Typical between 80 - 100

The drop rate is higher on camos for premium ships that you do not own and especially ones you don't want to own like Cheshire...

WG is working hard on telling you the drop rates. The problem is that it will take months to extract a parameter from a file that some employee has written and then given some meaningless name like drop_rates.cfg or something. And even if they ever find those drop rates, it will take a loooong time to present them in a nice shiny video. I mean, they are drop rates of containers. You can't just post them here.

Inb4, WG is working on the concept of a Diamond Account, which will cost twice as much as premium time, but grant better drop rates. Moby [edited] approves.
