When WG will fix Hizen?

Hizen in testing period was a different ship that one we got from the shipyard.

Someone said that because of the number of its guns its normal and ballanced :

lets COMPARE two ships that came from shipyrad and have the same amount of main guns,

Hizen needs to restore the Repair party consumables to 5 and have the same main gun Rof LIKE ALL other average tier 9 BBs. Also add atleast 5000 hit points since it has no torpedos.

Balance does not work like that, especially when you forget the guns size, armor layout, penetration power, damage, dispersion, range,....

Yes I am Greek...So let WG import Georgios Averof (Pizza class) Armored  Cruiser and i will defeat entire tier 2 fleets with only this ship!

Pommern is available for coal, while Hizen is a whaling boat for WG sponsors. We have more F2P people than McMoneysacks, so this numerical discrepancy is pretty much to be expected.

That is exactly what i mean...but replace the word sponsors with the word SUCKERS that believed WG and its announcements and early promo info about Hizen!

What a weird comparison. Hizen and Pommern are completely different ships with different roles and different methods of acquisition. Pommern is high-ish skill floor, high skill ceiling whereas Hizen is neither. Compare Hizen to Izumo for a more sensible comparison.

That would be more UNFAIR to Hizen because despite the fact that both use the same guns Hizens uses inferior AP and HE shells than Izumo that haw 3800 more hit points but less guns but also has 2kms mor main gun range and 5 Repair Party consumables like all (exept Lion) tier 9 average BBs!

That was a hard lesson for me indeed. It cost me real money to learn it. You have a point in this.

I don't disagree :P. Izumo's gunnery is overall very good, and Hizen's is not. It's not a flattering comparison for Hizen.

 

All I'm saying is don't compare apples to oranges. Hizen still looks like a rotten fruit when you an apples to apples comparison. Hizen is for those people who just must have a 12 gun broadside on an IJN ship, no matter the cost.

Just take the free stuff, and you will be a happy person. I finished a dockyard ONCE (with free dubloons) to get Odin, and else I just collected the small gift ships underway (at least half a dozen Graf Spees, e.g.). Useful ships, no cost, no grief.

That is a good advice. Coal comes slowly but free.

But i strugle for all those that fell victims of the Hizen fraud.

I dunno, most of the dockyard ships have been pretty meh? I had low expectations, and I was not disappointed. You just have to temper your expectations. If a ship is going to be any good, it's going to be:

 

RB / Steel / Coal (in pretty much that order, in terms of how good/interesting a ship is)

12x410mm guns on Hizen with excellent shooting angles puts Pommern to shame 9 times of 10. Pommern only has a chance if he manage to use torps. Easily my favorite T9 BB and one of the few that can occasionally with a fight against Musashi. Overrated BB's like Georgia (6 guns lol) or butter armored Jean Bart are never a problem if you know how to play Hizen.

 

OP is either smoking some good stuff or just bad in this game.

So you compared plain ratings?

 

Also the gun comparison is dumb

Hizen has 16 inch guns, more overmatch potential against cruisers, more alpha, more penetration, and more range. In turn it has a 5 second worser reload. Also Hizen accuracy is much better than Pommern's

 

Hizen needs to be fixed but the comparison you took was plain dumb. Minnesota and Izumo are better in that regard, even Lepanto to some extent. Also you compared plain ratings. Like wut?

The only thing Hizen needs imho is better reload. 2-3 sec less and it would be ok. If you need range then you can take range upgrade and have 23km which is enough. But the road even with reload upgrade is... Meh.
