A month for this fix. Right. Let me just pull up some words directly from that WG article.

"For example, players did not understand why the latest torpedo bug took 2 updates to fix, while a CV bug (plane losses in 0.9.9) was fixed almost instantly. They are in fact very different: the CV bug was fixed by quickly adjusting some parameters, while the torpedo bug involved game logic, and even though it was technically fixed within a week, it had to go through all regular quality assurance processes."

Now maybe I'm bit dumb (I still play this game so...) but isn't gun alpha fix exactly about quickly adjusting some parameters? Like what the hell WG, you are already contradicting your super duper "honest" apology.

That's only because patch will hit EU only tomorrow.

Yes, someone always tests these patches. Guess who. :Smile_glasses:

What happened here is that WG nerfed the AP damage of Zieten and Prinz Rupprecht.

The only problem is, they forgot that they had given the ships the exact same 406 mm shells as are used by the stock guns on Friedrich der Grosse and Grosser Kurfürst. So they accidentally also nerfed other ships.

I cannot understand how this could take a month to fix. It seems like a bad joke. Anybody who has played aroud with the game files can tell that it should be more like an hour's job...

Well, this happens if you are a lazy fellow and copy/paste stuff all the time instead of creating new assets. You cripple your ability to tweak some things without touching others. And lacking any oversight of your entire copy/paste adventures really shows that the left hands and the right hands either don't work together or have bent fingers.

I already have lost ALL respect for Maredraco since he obviously lied into our faces rambling about farming deto flags. If "bad games"  negatively influenced by troglodytes would be treated as a real issue by WG, they would have to come up with an entirely new business model, because their whole trash game revolves about motivating players to blindly die up the tiers. This behaviour is actively incentivized and promoted by WG, causing a bad and toxic environment inside their own game they are blaming commited players for. That is how bad they are even at lying.

Neither do i;

I just can't understand why it takes a month to fix; can't they just open the code and input the correct number? It would take ME 5 min., or less

A super tight release schedule dominated by sales and marketing does not see "fixing issues" as a plausible activity, because this eats up costly man hours in which more money could be generated.

Because you won’t change it in prod directly and on the fly but rather have it as deployment. Which means everything including making the build, testing it etc

You are not making on the fly changes to a production system. Even if it is “just” A different number (which it is not as they need probably a second shell)

The devs put that into a package and that is installed then. If it is really super urgent you can do it as a hot fix but I am not sure if this issue qualifies for that

You realize that every single day for the next 1,5-2 years is already planned ahead and fully packed with deadlines, ticket sprints and due dates, right friend?

Yes, and that's why they shouldn't screw up every second; and if they do, they should fix it ASAP, like they do for CV problems for example, instead of going "oh let's wait a month because we are lazy"

Why in the next update? Can't you just release an hotfix?

I don't have the details yet, but probably the complexity of this bug doesn't allow to change it with quick hotfix. Actually as it is known since our night, if the quick hotfix would be possible, it would be already implemented to our version, so we wouldn't face the bug at all.

These happened with the BC Testships.

So rollback the nerfs for them so the Tech Trees are fine again.

AND THEN FIX THE TESTSHIPS!!!!

There is literally nothing to fix for the Tech Tree.

Does the bug relate to WG's lovechild: the CV? - No!

Does the bug cost money? - No!

Does fixing the bug bring money? - No!

You see... Than it has to wait until the next patch and will not receive a hotfix as the usual CV-bug would get.
