you forgot to mention a feature.

A I wanted to log into the client today, it tells me my name is not available and i should change it to some 11yr old kiddy crap.

Now yesterday i could log in using just that name, today you pushed some update on steam (from where i connect). Kinda strange that the name i used for ~2years is suddenly not available after an update......srsly the updates and related problems are even more a random bundle then the crap in the armory...

When you first login to WoWs via Steam, you pick a region and a nickname you want to use. There it ask you confirm that and after that you are basically the only user of that nickname.

You can be asked to rename yourself, if that nickname violates the rules.

But probably there can be some bug, which lost the link to steam. Probably try to contact Customer Support to help you link it again.

If i contact Customer Support you need to wait 2-3 days untill they respond..i send a ticket to WG aswell ..and i wait 3 hrs allready. Fix this problem cuz it's enoying!!!

I don't know why I was dumb enough to believe WG would know what they are doing. My friends told me to not invest coal and CT into tier 5 crates because WG would remove them before I could get doubloons from it. Now I wasted a bunch of coal and community tokens on useless tier 5 crates and I guess won't get my ressources back either. Guess it's time to search for a game that has a somewhat competent developer.

I just got a 3GB+ update on the client, which apparently I have to download to play, which is unfortunate because my data cap applies outside of nighttime hours. If this is a predownload for 10.8, is there some way to skip it for now? Also, if I download this, will I be set for Thursday or will there be more to download after the update on Thursday?

Well containers is ok news, the fact you still call them SUPER CONTAINERS is pretty close to a breach of the Trade Descriptions Act, like calling a Citroen 2CV a supercar. I'll take them cos it's about time Wargambling gave something back to the community without putting it behind a pay wall and gambling mechanics. 

 

More CV, broken OP russian CV no less, and just what the community has been demanding...more toxic fun police Wargambling admitted is a broken mechanic and still needed fixing after 18 months in their so called "apology"... lmao apology indeed, More like "we promise to maybe do a few things within the next two years, but don't hold your breath". I believe they have put long time frames on these probably mostly empty promises because in 2 years the current public relations disaster will be long over.

 

Only way change will really happen is if bottom lines are affected, stop spending on anything thing in game. It's the only real way to force a change from these people.

I updated and now can't login either I have had HornetR1der for 3 years, checked and it is login to the Europe server.

So what is wrong? You bought tier V containers and what did you get from those?

It is a predownload. For future you can tick off the possibility to download the Update in advance.

You are logging in with Steam, right? It seems to be much bigger issue now.

 I bought  tier v containers and tier 5 ships for coal/tokens  so I could get doubloons in a few months. Most of them I didn't even play once. Since community tokens were just introduced I thought WG put some thought into it and wouldn't straight out remove the rewards 3 months after they introduced it. I even waited with buying them after the reddits threads to see if it was a mistake on WG's part. I expected it to be too good of a value to stay like that but really didn't expect a complete removal. There would have been so many better ways to lower the doubloons you get from them without making me feel like a wasted a ton of coal/tokens. You could have made them cost more tokens. You could have made it so every player can only buy a set amount of them per year if they already own all the tier 5 ships hence limiting the amount of free doubloons one can get. You chose to just remove them and make everything I already put into it worthless.

Unfortunately, we currently have issues with Steam login. We are investigating and working on that. 

We will let you know, once we will have more info about that.

 

Also please, generally, when you face an issue like this one, always please report that to CS, as it really helps us to identify and speed up the process.

I am unable to log in into game, as some of you previously mentioned, for hours now. I think this is Steam related. It's not the first time I am seeing this issue, but an insight on how to fix would be awesome.

Also, is there a way for me to drop using Steam and continue to play the game on WGC, so I could avoid this?

My clanmates are saying they have no issues and I can see streamers playing on Twitch with no issues. That is odd, but thanks for the comment

Honestly, I get some containers every month from Steam with some decent goodies. I don't mind it, but this login issues need to stop.

Well, unfortunately, once this preload started, it has to finish the process before you will be able to play the current version again.

Also this untick will apply for the next update.
