Well that’s a small positive. Might indeed indicate WG finally willingly  ( with a small prod from recent shitstorms) changing something for the better for operations.

That is disappointing. It was a good motivator to maximize one's community token acquirement.

1) Operation Rewards

2) Convoy time schedule

Why you are limiting of this fun mode for only 2 weeks :( .... it seems that you dont want people to have actual fun in this game mode

 

3) Armory changes

It took you a long time to figure out that people buy these containers to get back their doubloons .... quality check from balancing department :p
I also guess Katori is over performing and had to be removed from that section
Probably after 2 months of introduction of community tokens we will end up with another crappy currency in our game but we will hear what awesome future is :p

 

4) Transformers Collab
I hope this collaboration will be decent and not cash grab like lately since you care for the community as said in the last letter.

Also, where are new coal, free xp, steel, RB ships? Carnot for example?

 

Removing T5, T7 containers for community tokens are ok, since it was a bad deal except for 1% whales who has all premium ships. Tokens are much better used for unique perma camos (more of them soon?) or especially for veteran and other containers. This weekend I bought 10 or so Junior containers for 500 tokens each and got Marblehead and Marblehead Lima. Imagine having these ships already, that's around 3k doublons as a compensation every time you get them.

Removing T5 & T7 was is a bad change for everyone except WG. And not only the "1% whales"...

 

I bought together with my trainee 10 junior tokens packages each to share. Thats 40 junior crates in total. For a CT value thats almost a T5 container for both of us aka 8K doubloons. He got an Aurora and 200D I got 100D. The randomness of these crates makes them far inferior in comparisson with the T5 container. Atleast you get a guarenteed  TV premium . And you can  easily guide the ships by buying some cheap coal versions in advance to enforce better drops.

Except that this is not how these containers work. After you have got all possible ships that they can drop you will only start receiving other rewards (credits, signals etc.), never a duplicate compensation.

 I did once receive a Marblehead. Since i already had it in port i did receive Doubloon compensation.  But maybe WG changed this in a negative way?

 

But the ROI on these containers is way lower compared to the old and trusty T5 premium containers.

Regular Premium ship  containers works like you say. These containers do not. I saw someone posting the stats what they received from them and doublon compensation was said to be possible

I have got Smith from a mission few years ago and later again from the small recruitment container (1050 doubloons compensation). Recently I asked WG what containers gave doubloon compensation and was told that only those which specifically stated it, while all others just gave you a different reward from the list. Then I asked why I had got Smith compensation from a recruitment container and was told that it had been an unintended behavior and that it had already been "fixed".

 

But maybe someone from WG can confirm/deny this? However I am not sure whom I should tag.

These containers can have premium ships as content. They drop at random. But can they drop a ship that you already own. And will you get a doubloon value compensation if this happens?

As mentioned above, it is because of they will start with the exact date of WoWs Anniversary.

Rules for those should apply according to https://worldofwarships.eu/en/content/compensation-rules/

So if you have all of those ships from the list, you should get other stuff from the list instead

I'm uninstalling the PTS client as we speak. No point in wasting my time for points that end up having little value.

Ok, this is a bit upsetting since it was very unclear. Even more since these containers gave duplicateships and thus doubloons before. I would not have wasted my CT on these containers before knowing that I would never get a premium ship as a reward since I already had all that could drop from this type… The other rewards in the junior containers are useless to me. Because they are garbage!
 

That’s about 15k CT down the drain that could have gone into a certain 4K reward from a T5 container. A container you are happy to withdraw after just 3 months. You even are withdrawing the T3 Katori…even that gift was considered too generous by WG?  Your should have made it much more clear that no ships ( duplicates) can drop from these containers after collecting them. 

 

WG made collecting  CT somehow interesting and then killed it after a few months…

 

Hint: if your financial experts are so upset because players are earning free doubloons then just put limits like 1 crate a year or include the newer ships into the pool so people get a ship for their work and no doubloons. Like the München or Florida for the T7 crate or Jurea and Mysore for the T6. Not that new ships and neither too popular. Ideal fodder for premium crates and still better then to completely axe them.
 

Now you did not nerf CT’s, you killed it.

I am very happy to see that operations rewards will be reset I hope that if enough people play operations again it might convince WG to actually put some work back into their development.
