[BA_WP] XanderFreemaker Players 6 posts 4,079 battles Report post #1 Posted September 4, 2021 Hi Guys I love playing World of Wars ships, I play it almost every day, not for hrs on end as many do, but it's a lot of fun. SO I start playing in random battle a lot and begin to notice some ships when visible for a moment you see them they then go invisiable but go invisible for the entire battle, at first I did not take much notice, but this can't be right, I soon realized this is basically a big CHEAT and it takes the fun outta the whole battle. In co-op & operations, it's fine, but it's when you're playing Random battles or rank, that's a different story. Sometimes I get lucky and have a random battle or rank without cheaters and it's hella fun, even when I win or lose, but come on, you can't fight against invisible opponents. It is just a "BIG FAT CHEAT" that wargaming needs to address, cuz playing Co-OP does get boring lol I know I am not alone in this thought and even more sure other players have bought this up! I just wanted to get this out there... Thanks for reading XF 12

Yeah....no. There aren't too many people who mistake concealment for cheats. 25 minutes ago, XanderFreemaker said: In co-op & operations, it's fine, but it's when you're playing Random battles or rank, that's a different story. It's almost as if bots don"t care about concealment and just rush in, while players sometimes use their brainpower to their advantage.

[HABUS] Chaoskraehe Freibeuter, WoWs Wiki Team 1,291 posts 10,709 battles Report post #9 Posted September 4, 2021 As a torpedo DD, in some games you get never spotted. Some ships only get detected when you are 5.4km away. Most DD's sit between 5.8 and 6.5km detection range. Some ships (mostly cruisers) stay the whole game behind islands and if nobody get behind those they also don't get spotted.

What type of ship do you mean? Cruiser, destroyer, BB? More specific. Also you can upload a replay so we can see it. Maybe it was a cyclone or the storm mechanics involved. It was a destroyer, I was taken out by torpedos so that the ship had to be at least 6Km away to do it, and was still invisible...

What DD it was? which tier at least? If it was a Farragut then it can still torp you being invisible if you push into him, he has 6.4km torps but if you push into him he can fire them from 7km (having 6,6km concealment) and you will bump into those torps. DDs are often known as "ninjas". They stay outside of their detection range and use torpedos for stealth attacks. Most DDs (depending on the tier) have concealment around 5.4km and 6.1km. but also Torpedo ranges from 8km to 16km.
[K_R_T] SirAmra Alpha Tester 1,075 posts Report post #21 Posted September 5, 2021 I think I got my answer to what type of players gets detected by BBs while doing torpruns on them....and gets shot to shait by their guns. I'd be rich from all the times over the past 10 years I've been called a cheater, by someone who doesn't understand ingame mechs. Last time I got called a cheater was when I sat in smoke and shot a BB. I cheated cause he was still detected....had to be hax. He utterly failed to notice my teams BB spotting him to his left. I was not polite in my reply to him. So OP, do some research before u cry cheaters, hax and what not. It's getting f***ing old.

Sadly its easier to claim its hacks/cheats instead of just doing some research in the game you just started playing.
[FAB] DocStrangeFruit Players 196 posts 12,058 battles Report post #23 Posted September 5, 2021 Yea i think this guy might need to learn more about spotting mechanics and DDs. For example my Asashio has 16 torps(using reload booster) that have 20km range at 74 kts but my detection range is only 5.4km so i can fire them undetected from pretty much the other side of the map lol My Shimakaze has 12km torps but has 5.6km detectability....i think the guy might need to learn how to play before accusing others of cheating
