Good morning everyone!

Last night, I and a few of the other ex-CCs were talking.  Some mathematics may have happened and it ended with LittleWhiteMouse pointing out that it would need 600+ results to get a decent data set on the odds of Missouri dropping.

This means I need to crowdsource my data and that means I need your help.  Specifically, if you have gambled for and got the Missouri, I want to know how many boxes/rolls you used to get it.

If you don’t want to announce this in public, please feel free to PM me the number instead.

Please note - if you weren't planning to gamble for Missouri, don't let this change your mind.

Many thanks.

Best of luck with this, a rough guide at the moment is in another post:

[Poll] Did you get the "Missouri" as 1st "Random Bundle" in the "Return of the Missouri" ?

looks like about 3% out of about 59 atm but would be interested to see results of a larger sample.

Update: wasn't in my first bundle for what it's worth, not buying any

Same. Some random nonsense, but then, it would be extraordinarily amusing to find Missouri when I already have her:cap_haloween:

I think that people will ignore this statement, sadly, because:

1. People who buy it, mostly never been to this forum and so does not know about the whole shitstorm behind Missouri. And they dont care how stupid this offer is.

2. People who buy it and knows about this forum, will be ashamed by the mount of doubloons they have to put in it, so they will stay quiet for sure.

Maybe through PM will they share their thingy, but.........

After this topic I took a look at the random packages.

Spend 1500 gulds, have Missouri. 😳

Thanks for the hint. I would never had bothered with the boxes.

Got a SC with 1000 gulds today. I am going to bed now. My luck is used for today.

FWIW I have three accounts (two EU and one NA); MO was not the first bundle for any of them.

Not spending further on this (WOWS isn't proving much of a willpower test so far), so can't provide more useful data than that...

Same here according to my Armory web page.

Something tells me on the Press accounts you'd be seeing it in the first box.... though, of course, not many people have those accounts... any more...

The results will probably be very biased, because the incentive to brag about your luck for getting the Missouri in an early bundle is much higher, than admitting the waste of a lot of money for no gain at all.

Yuzral wrote players to inform him via PM when that is the case. So, the bias can be prevented this way.

I had it in the first box. 1500 dubs. Took some time for searching any hidden fine print about possible surprises, but did not find any. So there it rusts now in port as i am not BB main :)

Have to add though, that IF she wouldnt appeared in a first box, i wouldve not wasted any dubs to go further. After checking the poll, seems like i happened to be rather "lucky"

You still admit wasting an unreasonable amount of money to someone else and maybe even worse: to yourself. And what do you gain for it? Nothing, so i can't see how that will help much.

I serve the Soviet Union WG

20/41

image.thumb.png.7ce838150c63cb3334d50056b2cd6c13.png

With doubloon cash back from TV, TVI en TVII (dirty whale) I ended up a bit ok'ish but started to get a bit sad around 15+

Cost 21x 1500D = 31500D

T5                            -4000

T6                             -5500

T7                             -8500

Missouri               -19200

A plus of 5700 Doubloons. (and then -1800 for buying the Diana Lima so the T2 box dropped guarenteed the Brazilian cruiser / Albany clone that has not been available in EU)

But its still stupid so dont do this if you dont have the doubloons and the cashback possibilities.

I don't think people with that much sensitivity, anxiety, worries in them would gamble anyway. And if they did, they already know what they did, how much they spent. There is nothing to admit or not admit anymore. It's not like they buy 30K doubloons, spent them all in boxes and when it's done, "No, i don't admit this. I didn't do this, this didn't happen"...Example, above post ^^

Maybe you should read more about the psychology behind gambling. The reason the gambling and lootbox stuff works so good IS because people don't realise how much they really spent. That's why it's favorable to use ingame currencies, tokens and so on. It disconnects the spending of the real money from the ingame purchase.

Missouri was NOT in the first bundle.

I might spent on two bundles to get one of the captains, and the T2 container for the Abreu on EU. Might even go for Abreu alone. And that will be it. On NA Missouri was NOT in my first crate either.

Gambling works on addicts. Non-addicts will try it once or twice and leave it alone. This is the same in Las Vegas. Been there done that.

Hence, the addicts still know how much they spend. There is nothing to admit or to not admit. Addicts will keep spending because they are addicts, they can't help it. But they are aware of how much money they sat down with and how much they have in their pocket when they leave the casino or lootboxes in this case.  People not realizing how much money they spend usually happens in extremely high bids, like if every bid on the table is $50K-$100K , those guys playing on that table are already winning or losing millions. They may not be tracking or realizing the change money like $10K-$20K along the way. But this game and the amount of doubloons that are spent have nothing to do with realizing or not. It's not like you have 1, 999, 343 doubloons and you didn't realize spending 35K after 10 minutes. People in general are aware of how much they are spending. The issue is the addiction, not realizing or not.

If you think only already addicts are susceptible, you're a bit naive. Being addicted isn't something you're born with. And it looks like you missed the whole CC drama/exodus which was mostly about these gambling mechanics exploiting people and especially groups like veterans that are more susceptible.
