They need to keep players in dark, without the approximate drop rate information, so they can keep mobbing addicts.

If it can ban discussion of lootbox results, but allow discussion of gambling addiction, that would be convenient.

[LADA] Gvozdika [LADA] Players 975 posts 10,423 battles Report post #21 Posted August 27, 2021 Good. Feeding WG's negative practices with publicity does the game no favours. People can gamble with their own money - no skin off my nose. However loot boxes are toxic and a blight on otherwise decent games - the sooner they become effectively taboo or verboten as an acceptable mechanic in video games the better. Some of this will be done by players not buying them, by kicking up some widespread pushback (e.g. Star Wars Battlefront II) and by sites like wows reddit making the rewards from them a no-go subject. The real killing blow they need is regulation - probably where Belgium have beaten the rest of the planet to it. All in my honest opinion of course..... Edit to add - To the righteous fury above you can also add 'Games as a live service'. The person who came up with that gem needs pelting with potatoes until they recant and repent of their sins against humanity.....
