Somebody help me understand wg logic behind which ships get asw

So im currently checking which ships get asw planes and it makes no sense like:

 

Yamato:gets asw planes

shikishima:same playstyle same tier NO

 

Montana:yes

Vermont:yes

Ohio:NO

 

conqeror:yes

Thunderer:NO

 

G.K:NO

 

kremlin:NO 

slava:still NO

 

republique:yes

bourgogne:yes

 

so its not like premium bbs don't get asw its just that wg doesn't give it to every ship 

 

and i would like to know according to What do they decide who gets asw and who doesn't get asw

 

do they decide on playstyle or role of the ship:No, just see yamato and shikshima's case:one gets asw other can go f it self 

is it decided on the nation? No just look at ohio or thunderer their nations tech tree has asw planes and they still don't get one

is it decided on the ships performance? Nope bourgogne is one of the best performing bbs gets asw planes while g.k who is the other way around don't 

 

also why exactly the ships that supposed to push in doesn't get asw planes?Meanwhile ships who supposed to hang at the back gets asw planes.

 

its like again the devs want to create a toxic camping meta just like deadeye where nobody wants to push in but now they will not want to push in not because deadeye but because they can't even deal 1 dmg to a submarine while its underwater

It seems like WG doesn't want the BBs that will face the subs more, get any defense whatsoever. Strange than the Italians, Russians, Germans and Prem American secondary BB line (Massa, Georgia, and Ohio) are the BBs that are more effective up close, will face subs more, but don't get depth charges, while the BBs that don't need to close in to do well, get those depth charges. 

 

Its seems weird, and I am pretty sure its intentionally stupid or WG pulled another oopsies

The process is simple;

take shot of Vodka and draw ship name from bag, that one gets ASW

if bottle is empty then that ship gets no ASW as need to get new bottle.

Continue until end of list or end of Vodka, but this is Russia comrade so never an end to Vodka....

I think I remember reading somewhere that their reasoning was the same as why some ships have radar/hydro while others don't (despite having the capabilities to historically.)

WG at this point have lost the plot of many things, so many dumpster fires burning away, they are running around with no clue and breaking more things,  those in charge are now are in a job saving mode and don't give a crap !!

The logic behind is: BB do get ASW weapons if their tech tree line has them, unless they don't.

 

IJN BB line has ASW => Yamato has, Shikishima don't (exception)

USN BB line has ASW => Montana and Vermont have them, Ohio don't (exception)

RN BB line has ASW => Conquerer has, Thunderer don't (exception)

 

KM BB line does not have ASW => G.K. don't

SN BB line does not have ASW => Kremlin and Slava don't

 

MN BB line has ASW => Republique and Bourgogne have them

 

What I can not provide however is a clear explanation why there are singular exceptions to that pattern, other then some screwed WG balancing logic (balancing which both includes in-game power as well as overall attractiveness of each individual ship).

 

Find enclosed a quick and dirty tech tree evaluation for comparison.

ASW weapons

Massachusetts and Georgia don't have ASW either, while Alabama and Missouri does.

 

My guess, premium ships that are deemed tad too balans are not getting ASW means as indirect nerf.

I have absolutely NO IDEA.

How WG is making Decisions on which Ships get ASW.

 

For some Reason it seems. That many BBs despite actually having Floatplanes that could Carry Bombs. Dont get any ASW Charges. While some Ships which did not even have the Option for Floatblames somehow get Floatplanes Dropping ASW Charges.

 

Likewise some Heavy and Light Cruisers get ASW Charges. While others just dont for whatever reason.

 

 

I would really like to know. By which Criteria it is Decided which Ship gets ASW and Which Ship does not.

It doesn't matter which ships get it. Homing torps are broken just like CVs. You get sonared, repair and it's nullified, 10 sec later sonared again, no way to dodge those. At this point i am not amazed anymore how the game went full dumb last a couple of years with the new ships, mechanics, gimmicks and players but i'm rather curious how worse it's gonna get...

 

Plus that asw does minimal dmg. Until you fly the plane and hit the sub it's already diving down...Total joke.
