Captains!

We would like to announce changes in the upcoming event with Missouri.

Based on your feedback, we’re going to add an alternative way of obtaining Missouri in 0.10.7.

A special temporary web-based campaign, dedicated to the end of World War II,  will be available from August 27. It’s a unique event with new mechanics: you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the greatest naval battles and choose your own path through the Pacific theater of World War II.

We had this portal campaign planned without Missouri, but based on your feedback and her special connection to the end of the war, we think this would be a great thematic fit to offer an alternative way of obtaining her.

So, after completing the campaign, you will be able to purchase Missouri directly in the Premium shop at the same price as other Tier IX Premium ships.

Completing the combat mission chains of the web campaign will reward you with Pacific Tokens, commemorative flags of the key naval battles of World War II, a unique patch with Missouri's motto, special signals, themed camouflage, and other rewards.

The number of Pacific Tokens you can get for free for completion of the campaign will be sufficient to get either a 12-skill-point Commander of any of eight nations or a Premium Ship II-IV container from sequentially available bundles that also hold other rewards.

At different stages of the campaign, you will have to make choices that determine the conditions of the combat mission chains that you receive — sometimes their difficulty, the location of the battles, and even the side you will fight for. The campaign will start on August 27 and every 2 days, a new campaign stage will be unlocked. Overall the campaign will contain 7 stages and the last one will be available for completion starting from September 8. The campaign will be available until September 15.

All missions of the campaign can be finished in cooperative, random, and ranked battle modes and require USA and IJN ships from tier IV and higher. The campaign concentrates on its historical narrative, rather than challenging gameplay. You should be able to complete it with approximately 60 battles, especially considering the possibility to complete missions in co-op.

The next point that we want to address is Missouri's earnings. After analyzing Missouri's earnings over the past few days, we do see a need to increase the bonus from the special mission from 17% to 20%. The change was already implemented today at 10:30 UTC on all servers. This is just an initial correction, for more accurate adjustments, if they will be needed, we need to collect more data in the current version to be totally sure that her earnings in 0.10.7 will be the same - or higher. We will continue to monitor the situation and will increase the bonus if needed to achieve the required numbers. We will update you on this topic in a few weeks and share some of the underlying data on our devblog.

We hope that you will enjoy this special campaign and rewards even if you’re not interested in Missouri.

Thank you for your attention!

EDIT: Regrettably, due to technical limitations, we could not make her available in the Armory. However, if you would like to directly purchase Missouri for doubloons after you've finished the campaign, please contact Customer Support. There you will be able to ask for an exchange of 19 500 doubloons for Missouri and slot in port."

Well, although many people will complain that the standard t9 dubloon price far exceeds the 750k fxp pricetag that Mo had originally, I think just as many will complain if the window of opportunity to obtain her is too short.

I really hope the stages, rewards, and requirements will be visible from the start. Otherwise I suspect people will make mistakes in selecting their path.

"Grind the right to buy what was free if you want to avoid gambling."

Great logic, love it. I hope the 30 year old working people with 2 hours to spend every day will love to learn this exciting news.

So. Basicly we can Grind a Campaign to Earn the Right to Pay Full Real Money Price of a T9 Premium Ship for a T9 Freemium.

I mean Guys.....

See. Many of us Hoped you would Send a Message by making Missouri Available as a Freemium again for Ressources. Or maybe at least Offer it at a Discounted Price. To Show some Sincerity to the Community by not using the Missouri as a Money Grab.

But I guess expecting you to Show any Goodwill beyond Empty Words is Asked too much.

What you just Did was Basicly Send us Message.

Oh Yeah. We are Sorry this Ended up in a Dumpster Fire.(And yes you read that right. We are Sorry it became a Dumpster Fire. We are not Sorry about what we did to cause it) But regardless of your irrelevant little Tantrum. We really dont want to Miss the Chance to Milk as much Money as Possible from you using the Missouri.

Good Job.

Just keep Pouring that Gasoline into the Fire....

So, grind to be able to spend a lot of money... hello??

Also i'm not a programming specialist, but is it so ahrd to make the 20% credit income apply for the total earned following after every flag and camo?

And respect for Shonai and Yabba for willing to post the replies, knowing they will have to face the masses.

What an absolutely ridiculous pile of crap...

THIS is your way of trying to fix things? Offering a grind so people have the chance of buying the ship for a full price???

I don't even know what to say anymore. They are not disconnected from the reality, they don't even know how reality looks like.

Wallet closed.

Increasing the mission bonus from 17% to 20% doesn't seem to address the stacking issue. How can it be so hard for you to implement this? Just make it the same as it was already -_-

This I really do not get.

From what I understand you promised the bonuses from the missions will stack, they don't. Why is it so hard to just make the changes to the mission so they match the CALCULATIONS for individual players so their income is the same?

If players now let you adjust things based on average income, you're free to do so at any time in the future ( by design it looks )? This really does open a can of worms if WG can at leisure decide what changes should be made to ships people already unlocked ( many spending money to gain enough fxp ) not based on their individual performance but based on the AVERAGES of everyone.

edit:

Because that wouldn't help. Signal modifiers are based upon the ship credit income, not taking any camos into account AFAIK.

The blatant greed is too much..

More gambling boxes!

There was only 1 good option to save face: Make Missouri available the same way as it was: for freeXP, increase it to whatever value is needed (1 or 2 mil freeXP).

Now you first have to complete missions just so you can pay the same price as any other ship you can get without all the extra effort. This mission [edited] was just to throw up a hurdle that is probably just big enough to get people to go for the gambling route..

Absolutely soulless disgusting  company.
