2 Days to come up with a short, empty, meaningless response to one of the biggest actions taken against a game publisher in ages?! (I even heard Electronic Arts go "Are you serious?! Hold my beer....!!"). You could have sent me a bag of cash and I could have come up with a way better BS answer in 2 hours. 

 

No apology at all?!? .... really?

Question, when you now surely will put a huge price tag on the Missouri, will you compensate those who you fooled inte buying RNG gambling boxes for it or are they just collateral damage in your latest "Miscommunication"? I would feel so fooled and shafted if I ever had bought one of those boxes now when you change it to a fixed price. Maybe they have to summit a support ticket and hope, but then again they have already used those boxes so that is a no-go.

 

"We're carefully analyzing her adjusted earnings following the update". Is it hard just to copy-paste the bonus she had pre-change to that of the mission? Or do you "analyze" to see how big of a nerf to the old bonus you can get away with?

 

Any word on the stuck on island problem?

 

Any word on the shells landing short bug?

 

Any word on the torps changing course bug?

 

Or are you just occupied with dumping a new broken, unbalanced and probably untested class into the game?

I've been playing this game since CBT and I'd occasionally buy some premium time,dubloons and ships. More recently I'll only get a ship when heavily discounted because I've been getting more and more annoyed by your aggressive monetization of the game but this is the straw that broke the camels back.

 

The way you have treated the CCs including LWM and Jingles is frankly abhorrent and even worse that you're putting lootboxes in a game marketed to 7yr olds and then there's this the latest in a long line of non apologies and a stubborn arrogance to not change your ways.

 

Effective immediately I'm done spending any money in this game till things genuinely change and those responsible for the disgusting acts you have committed as a company are fired. Furthermore I urge all those outraged by this to contact your national politicians and urge them to bring forward legislation banning lootboxes in games that are rated under 18 or better yet ban them altogether.

 

The only way we will force change is if enough of us hit WG were it really hurts and that's in their wallet,don't buy anything else till they make changes because they've proven that their word is worthless.

While I appreciate everyones' response to this non-apology that completely fails to address any of the core issues and seems to be worded in such a way as to try to not provoke any further outrage in the hope that all of this will simply go away soon, I feel that it's important we all stop and take a healthy dose of reality.  

1.  No-one should have been expecting any specific details to be forthcoming about how WG plan to address the core issues - increasingly aggressive monetisation and the locking of more and more core game components behind gambling walls in a game that children as low as the age of 7 can play.  They simply haven't had time yet to formulate any strategy where that's concerned.  However, the fact that Wargaming has specifically failed to even mention they have any plans to tackle these issues should tell you just how committed they are to ensuring these things remain part of their monetisation strategy.  They're even attempting to normalise gambling by offering freebies in the shape of lootboxes too - just look at how you gain early access to submarines.  Make no mistake, things will get worse, not better, regardless of how many people vote with their wallets in protest.

 

2.  The simple reason for this is that none of us matter to Wargamings' monetisation strategy.  Oh I'm sure they'd prefer that we all remained paying customers, but they don't really care that much if we don't.  After all, there's only so many times they can sell us a Marco Polo or a Pommern.  Once we've bought a premium ship or bundle that's one revenue stream permanently closed to them.  No matter how many of us give up and walk away in disgust, nothing will change, because new customers are where Wargaming are focussing their priorities - customers who aren't used to the predatory monetisation and haven't seen years of community dumpster fires brushed off with the same non-apologies of empty promises to do better in future.  New customers they can sell Marco Polos and Pommerns to, until they get just as pissed off and start reacting the same way we are.

We think that customer turnover and churn will make Wargaming sit up and take notice but it won't.  Customer turnover and churn is Wargamings' monetisation strategy.

Btw, you do not need to monitor anything from Missouri, you made a promise, the mission does not stack with what you promised and what people should be able to expect. The only reason you want to monitor is to claim 'Average income hasn't changed blah blah blah' which is in this case totally irrelevant. Just a lil fyi for those who might think there is actually something to monitor.
