Honestly this answer is at best disappointing and at worse far away for the reality.

If you think that all these CCs are leaving only because of LWM and the Missouri issues, think again.

There are plenty of issues behind this CC rebellion. They all show the growing anger from a decent part of the community. WG can not pretend like they always do "this is not the opinion of most of the players" when a dozen CC choose to give up their position to protest against major issues concerning the game. You just need to listen.

They also protest against the growing numbers and influence of the lootboxes system in the game, the way that WG sometime communicate or ignore constructive feedback, the forced arrival of the Subs and the current balance/general state of the game.

I don't necessary agree with everything the CCs are protesting against. For instance, I do well in ignoring the lootboxes and they are far worse in other games but you have to blind to not see how this is becoming a concerning issue for many players. In my opinion, it is also part of a wider protest from players against this system in many games.

I think WG missed an opportunity to at least give ground on these lootboxes. We don't need it in Warships and Warships does not need it.

More than 3 days for this kind of answer shows once again that WG lacks understanding of they obvious issues in their game, ambition to solve them and consideration for the community.

Hello everyone,

We are awfully sorry that AprilWhiteMouse and other CCs are no longer a part of our Community Contributors Program, and we’d like them to know they will be missed. We respect their decision and want to thank them for their contributions, devotion, and passion for the game and program over several years. We wish all of them best of luck and hope that they will stay in touch with us nevertheless, we will always be here to talk.

We understand that there are several causes that have led us to this situation and that we have upset and disappointed many of our CCs and players. While some of these causes are self-explanatory, and our commitment to fix them remains, there are a few specific points we’d like to comment on:

  • We appreciate the community feedback about Missouri being obtainable via Random Bundles exclusively in 0.10.7. We've been discussing this since last week and decided to add an alternative way to purchase the ship. We will provide details on our Devblog soon.
  • On the topic of Missouri, we know that there is an open question whether her earnings are on par with the pre-update version, especially considering signal flags and camouflage bonuses. We're carefully analyzing her adjusted earnings following the update, and will share our decision whether any adjustments to the mission are to be made.
  • Regardless of AprilWhiteMouse's CC membership status, we will stay true to our commitment to release HMCS Huron in 2022. She’s been added to our production plans and is scheduled to arrive around late Summer 2022.

Best regards,

WoWS Team

I think, this is my first post ever in these forums. As a casual player and a "normal" guy I am just disgusted of your "miscommunications" and your understanding of "incidents".

Agreements you make don't count, apologies are not worth the time it takes to read them and the ever more agressive implementation of gambling mechanics worries me as a father. Personally I don't care what happens to my account, but I worry about my kids and their friends who play WOWS as well. I am already in contact with the regarding authorities. It will take some time, but every single "miscommunication" or "translation error" from your side will get me closer to my goal - make WOWS safe(r) for my and other children...

let's see how long it takes in a self experiment.....

dear community and cc's,

we're all too sorry about what happened and liked to get back onto ur righteous criticism about quite some recent decisions. we're deeply concerned about how this all went out and liked to place our sincerest apologies first off to ms. littlewhitemouse and chobittsu!

we greatly appreciate their passion for the game and its community, just as all the other cc's who decided to teach us a lesson we may should've learned earlier. apologies to all of u too, without u wows wouldn't be such a thriving community!

but that's all bells and whistles, we want to show our very own dedication to the community, in hope to restore at least some of the trust we put to play.

in this sense, we'd like to invite all just recently cc's who left our program, to present to them how we gonna improve our feedback and testing cycles. we are already in state of re-evaluating these and hope for some good input from their side, to improve the games standing, gameplay and reputation in the long run.

we not say we decisions from there on is on our cc's ofc, but they will get kind of a legit vote in terms of balance- and economy decisions.

as a sign of goodwill new missi event lootboxes are cancelled! the ship will be, as stated in an earlier post on the website, purchasable for dubloons only. also the mission gets scrapped, old missi restored and the new one released as "missouri - bb64"(or woatever that number may be ^^)....

also we will restore option to buy x dubloons to prem shop, just as put some discounts on some packs which are woth to be called "summer sale".

as well as we gonna put back 5 signals per achievement (less than before), but gonna keep the new container system. we hope that this way achievements will be perceived as what they are labelled for again.

for now, and in an instant so to say, that's the most we can do. if u have additions we might could include without overstretching, we're happy to see u leave em in here. coz, and that's maybe the most important part of this reply, we truly and most sincere are willing to put truth and sense into the line "we value ur feedback", and hope with this actions we at least can show our very own will as a company to be open for our customers and supporters.

good luck and fair seas,

war gaming....

took me 10 mins max lol :Smile_facepalm:

An "incident", yeah right. Do you know why I'm sad about your no apology, no consequences statements? That there're way too many people in this community who actually can't translate your marketing language into plain and simple English. No, Wargaming doesn't feel sorry about this ... "incident", you actually couldn't care less about it (except the employees who had to work with LWM and other CCs, they probably feel sorry). But it's even worse. You don't care about your core player base, your most dedicated supporters, the game balancing and EVERYTHING ELSE that makes the difference between good games and greedy, scummy mobile game slot machines. You even scam people (santa crates 2020), you make more and more false marketing statements, you treat your supporters like crap since you really don't need them anymore. I'm. Sick. Of. Your. crap.

This is a start but don't just think the Missouri being in loot box's is the only problem... Don't get me wrong loot box's as a Christmas thing with a good mix of rewards is great and have dabbled in the past. But using loot box's for almost everything puts me off and I would imagine by the CC reaction to it them to.

Slow. And steady wins the race, trying to ring out every cent out of your player base is OK short term, but I feel hurts the player base and game long term.

Because what players or CCs perceive as "issues", are deliberate and well thought out company actions in order to maximize revenue, long term consequences be damned.

And if they would have changed it to 50% what would it matter? There is something very obvious and very known thing with this mission. It is no mission WITHOUT AN END. It will end in 135 days. What do you think happens afterwards? I tell you what will happen. This mission will get deleted as they did it with the module missions. If they really wanted to hold that mission it wouldn't have an end date. Ah yeah I know technically not possible bla bla. This is also a very short period. So it will end at the end of this year.
After that the Missouri will be an Iowa class battleship, only worse. So it is uninteresting if they change that percentage value. It is just giving a bone to the dog to make him happy, telling him that he will get always this bone. Only that he get's this bone only once and after he finished it it is gone and there will be no replacement.

:Smile_great:

well not this year because that might be a bit much sheitshow next to the normal christmas dumsterfire we can expect. But next year around Autumn - why not. Reason? ehhhh:

Quote

Our data showed that Missouri wasn't played that much that it would justify to keep the mission up to date so we will not renew it for 2023 - WG 2022

1.

It would have been better to use the Official Nickname. LittleWhiteMouse.

It might be Semantics. But Frankly you should be aware that People are Exceedingly Angry at you right now and will Jump at you for even the slightest mistake.

Worse. It will be Seen as you caring so friggin little about the CCs Leaving that you dont even know the Official WoWs Nickname of the CC which even the Majority of CCs Agree was the most Devoted CC you ever had.

2.

The entire Reason why this Happened is because you have so far Shown 0 Commitment towards Fixing the Issues.

So Seriously. If all you got to say is that you will Continue. You would have been better off just saying Nothing.

People want to See actual Actions. Not more Empty Words.

3.

Its nice you Decided to sell Missouri on an Alternative method.

But frankly. I am likely not alone when I expect it will either be intensely overpriced with the Excuse that it had to be due to ingame value. Or will simply be done using a different Gambling mechanic.

Which will then Lead to an Instant Crabstorm right away again.

Why do I think that ? Well Obviously because thats how much the Community Trusts you right now.

4.

Its been Proven that Missouris Earnings are not on Par. Even bothering to Question that is only causing you to lose even more Credibility. It seems you even already made a Micro Patch Buffing the Mission a Tiny bit. Which makes that Statement even more Failplace....

Frankly at this Point the Backlash if you had just outright nerfed it. Would likely have been smaller...

5.

Oh we have no Doubt you will Honor your Commitment to Release another Premiumship. What people Doubt is that its gonna be anything remotely related to what LWM wanted.....

And thats it ?

The Biggest Complaint People have is your Aggressive Monetization Increase using methods that form Gambling Habits while Marketing the Game to Children.

You not even gonna bother commenting that ?

What about the Issue of the CCs that their Feedback is Generally Ignored ?

Or about the whole thing of someone from WG treating LWM and other CCs like Crab ?

What about the Issue with Yuro making Fun of Topics that he should not have made Fun off ?

I mean. I did not really expect more from you guys. But God. I really hoped that I would be wrong and that maybe. Just maybe you would actually show some Sincerity and actually do more than just offering a Generic Apology that nobody takes seriously and pulling back on the most recent issue while Ignoring most other things entirely....

Pretty Dissappointed really.

And pretty sure that you just poured a whole Jerry of Gasoline into that Fire.

I would be Surprised if many of the CCs waiting for a Response before Leaving will now be dissuaded from leaving....

We appreciate the community feedback

Community, player base and CCs are giving feedback for the past 2 years and here we are "2 years later..."

What happened with all appreciated feedbacks in the past? What is gonna change in the future regarding anything?

Welp this was a lackluster response that virtually totally missed the point of why most of the CC's have decided to say "f*** it" and left....Amazing to see just how little you actually care about anything that happend or actually why it did....

"We are sorry about the CC's leaving", Jesus Christ, the damn disrespect and ignorance on that one. Especially considering how much effort some CCs actually put into content for your game.
"We will always be here to talk", yeah you have certainly proven that over the last few weeks let alone months, you aren't there to talk whatsoever unless it benefits your own agenda.

"We understand there are several causes..." Do you now? If you did, you wouldn't have allowed the situation to develop as it did in the first place, given all warning signs were there.

"our commitment to fix them remains," ... just like your commitment to be entitled to ignorance, and not listening to your playerbase?

So overall, as expected, a less-than mediocre attempt at applying bandaid. Or well, more like trying to reflect off of the main issues again and finding the blame in either nobody or, more clearly, nobody that isn't representing WG themselves. For this half-hearted attempt at an apology - which is not even one - it sounds to me rather that you are passively shifting the blame onto the CCs for their response to your actions. And to formulate all of this,  you needed more than an entire day? Might as well just have said nothing and not made yourself look like utter fools.

My condolences to LWM and every other CC to putting up with these shenanigans for such a long time.

Honestly, at this point, I would expect that this "apology" is just going to be declared as another example of "miscommunication"... with miscommunication in this case just being a replacement word for sheer, utter ignorance. Because this is nothing but a passive-aggressive non-apology if anything.

wg, never ever ask for my feedback ever again, EVER! cause u dont care as u just proved once more.

I will spend this time i used to give feedback now giving my opinion to my political representative in the european union to get your gamble boxes banned everywhere as they rightfully should be and i hope everyone here and the cc's will do the same , spend your time where it matters, and thats definitly not here, thats proven beyond any doubt now
