That is so pathetic! A spit in the faces and a kick in the balls of the CCs and the community! I filed a complaint at PEGI for gambling and predatory monetization tactics. Maybe that will wake them up!

Short term effect.

Nope. I stopped playing right after CV rework fail and uninstalled some months later when it became clear that Wargambling don't give a flying flamingo about feedback and will not fix that fail.

But uninstalling a game means nothing more then pressing Alt+F4 during game.

Nope. During uninstalling process you are asked why do you uninstall the game so this is opportunity to write a few words. Not that they care but still - game is uninstalled and they can monitor if such account log in to the game again on the same or another platform. When player uninstalled and didn't came back, this is a problem.

Is anyone considering to close their actual account? Coz only that what weegee will notice.

They monitor accounts activity all the time. When you log in after long break (like a few months), you may be given some premium time. This works in both games, WoWS and WoT.

And well, why should I close my account? I have WoWS stuff, WoT stuff and Masters of Orion. Wargambling perfectly knows I'm logging to my account, I'm logging to the WoT and stopped playing after their latest reworks, I'm logging to the WoWS site with uninstalled game and so on. All such activity is counted in the spreadsheet.

Will they care? Probably not but definitely notice coz those players...sorry whalers are lost for good.

They don't care as long as this is small number of players. With substantial number of players who stopped playing, stopped paying and so on, even Wargambling have to change their approach do the players.

OTOH it seems they would be happy with mass exodus of pissed off players, aware of their shenanigans. Without such players all the new one victims are prone to be milked all the way. And we all see the most important thing for Wargambling is milking wallets of the playerbase.

Hi All.

Lets look at it this way as we know WG monetization tactics may be aimed at children under gambling age, if this is the case then is this not a form of abuse edited to spend money that may not be theirs to spend, what do you think some of those children with be forced to do, i'll tell you steel their parents credit cards to buy loot-boxes.

There will be arguments in many households over their little darlings wanting a set of loot-boxes, one says yes the other says no and single parents who cant afford to spend vast amounts of money on a gambling monetization tactic from WG not realizing those children are on their way to become WG little money toting bitches.

The PEGI system may cure the WG gambling monetization tactic this but will the PEGI know the ages will WG care about PEGI NO!, as some children will get past the PEGI system yes their parents credit cards will indicate the parents age not who's using the card paying the bill, just think how many of you adults sneaked in some where or gone to a bar buying drinks under age, even gone night clubing  i know i did so the PEGI system is just a sign/rule to be broken.

Any way no mater how you look at it WG are greedy and an uncaring gambling monetization machine yes this game is a freebee but WG needs to make money to develop more in game stuff, I'm all for buying a prem ship if need be or when i can afford one just to help out, but not buying a ton of loot-boxes in hope to get a free ship only to find no ship in any box, you wont buy a 100 rotten apples hoping there's a good one to eat, so WG your loot-boxes are not worth the gamble.

Parents don't give into you children and allow them to spend on WG gambling monetization tactic.

FYI here's the latest from the Mighty Jingles on this WG dumpster fire.

News from the PR frontline!

As some of you may have heard, WG has just announced an incentive by handing out a free T5 and T9 premium ship container for people who return to the game after a lengthy absence and play 15 games. A friend of mine visited the website out of curiosity.

This is the link of one of the sites. I tried following the link and it actually works.

https://promo.worldofwarships.eu/glows-37437/eu-en/?utm=prmp&utm_medium=wb&utm_campaign=o1o7_whales

Either someone from the team that made this website forgot to change the URL to a more ordinary one or WG is just laughing in our faces and potentially openly insulting us with full intention.

I know the term "whale" is commonly used somewhat derogatory among gamers but it was actually leaked first as a corporate internal way of describing players by classing them into different categories of marine animals (such as dolphins or, well, whales) based on the profit the company can expect to make off the player in question. So while it is easy to just assume that it's meant as an insult to us "whales" for being so toxic (which we can be, and not always deservedly so in WG's defence), it may just be a corporate internal way of designating the right links so the guys implementing and publishing them don't screw up and link the wrong website.

Still not exactly subtle in its message to these "whales".

TBA

EDIT: With "it actually works", I mean the link to the website works. Whether the feature works or not I can't determine, as I still play the game regularily.

Well, I can see a "political" career in the making here.

"We are sorry that (these unpaid members of the public)...are no longer in our (CCP)" - No apology for being the cause of, or acceptance of responsibility of any actual fault or management wrongdoing. Just sorry (for themselves presumably) they aren't making WG's game better for free any more.

"Our commitment to fix (the causes?) remains" - No agreement what the causes are, who is responsible,  no plan or scope listing any actual changes nor a timescale for implementation.

Sir Humphrey Appleby would have been proud of a speech like that...

I just get a popup saying I don't have WG Game center installed, and the normal RU webpage asking if I want to accept cookies before I'm able to install their game.

And yes, I fully believe the term whale is not a coincidence.

The way WG.net has devolved the past few years saddens me... And I've been around for a long time (WoT closed beta).

Hello everyone,

We are awfully sorry that AprilWhiteMouse and other CCs are no longer a part of our Community Contributors Program, and we’d like them to know they will be missed. We respect their decision and want to thank them for their contributions, devotion, and passion for the game and program over several years. We wish all of them best of luck and hope that they will stay in touch with us nevertheless, we will always be here to talk.

We understand that there are several causes that have led us to this situation and that we have upset and disappointed many of our CCs and players. While some of these causes are self-explanatory, and our commitment to fix them remains, there are a few specific points we’d like to comment on:

  • We appreciate the community feedback about Missouri being obtainable via Random Bundles exclusively in 0.10.7. We've been discussing this since last week and decided to add an alternative way to purchase the ship. We will provide details on our Devblog soon.
  • On the topic of Missouri, we know that there is an open question whether her earnings are on par with the pre-update version, especially considering signal flags and camouflage bonuses. We're carefully analyzing her adjusted earnings following the update, and will share our decision whether any adjustments to the mission are to be made.
  • Regardless of AprilWhiteMouse's CC membership status, we will stay true to our commitment to release HMCS Huron in 2022. She’s been added to our production plans and is scheduled to arrive around late Summer 2022.

Best regards,

WoWS Team

This took so many days to formulate a response?
And yet still somehow the most tone deaf response possible if this actually took multiple people to come up with I don't think I could find bricks with enough density to outclass them.

'We are awfully sorry that AprilWhiteMouse and other CCs are no longer a part of our Community Contributors Program'
You're sorry that they left? you should be apologising to them not apologising to us that they're gone.
As stated the causes are self-explanatory it was you guys that did it to them not us, not them. You.
And somehow you don't seem to get that.

I'm done with wargaming as a whole at this point.
Not a community person by any means but if this is how CC's are treated and how high horse WG thinks it is. Can honestly stop playing this without regret.

They wanted to release a more detailled statement at the end of this week. Well it's saturday now. Guess by the pace they're working, we'll have the statement at around Christmas :cap_happy:

AprilWhiteMouse has been a fantastic supporter of the game the loss of her input is a great blow to the WOW and the community. From this point forward I will stop paying money to WOWs.

It's been more than two weeks and they're still completely silent about the whole incident. Looks like they're sitting it out once again. Let's hope whales do have the memories of elephants^^

From screenshots I've seen with the Missouri flood, looks like whales whaled again anyways. So WG did the right thing for them again.
