Recap: 1h length hour footage of Flambino whaling the dockyard and playing two matches with the D7P. His final verdict is to not spend money on the ship, but it’s based on his feelings. He tells once that Mainz has more guns, and he did not manage to get citadels in his second game, but he did not notice shooting HE just before his complaint. He does not compare firing angles, durability or agility to the Mainz. He made 83k damage in his first bottom tier game and 105k damage in his second top tier game, where he finishes the game with a potato rush  against two smoked up Edinburghs. He also admits that he would probably have better results by learning the ship, especially how to do airstrikes better. The whole video feels rushed, a big part has no sound at all.

May not be wise to take the word of a "resigning CC" on this right now. There does seem to be a tendency among them to give a general advice "give no money to WG"... 
The only one not following this seems to be Flamu who seems to keep a fairly neutral stand even after being kicked. 

 

But if Haarlem is anything to go by. Guns are underwelming but I think this ship will be fun to play. 
Which seems to be the consensus of a few German CC's also.
 

Beyond that... I am Dutch and will get this ship. ... so it really doens matter what he says... hehehe.

As a Dutch mariner I have already this ship and it's the Eendracht hull (just check armour layout) with a new top. So this is a light cruiser ....the tonnage of the 1954 version is increased a lot compared with the 1938 version (almost doubled 7000 max vs 12000 max) The airstrike is fast enough you can do something with it and you have 3 of them.

 

Reload is 6.5 seconds with the 152mm so fast spammer but AP is weak at targets far away. (10km+) Seems the pen or the shell is too light orso.

Speed boost is nice but soso also you need a captain with many skills to have really unlock it.

 

I had the gold allready reserved for this ship as my uncle sailed on it i had to have it.

Im not sure if it is a good trainer for the Dutch tree. 

It boils down to: Can you get away without using IFHE?

 

AA seems quite good on that ship but is it enough that CVs leave you alone?

He said don't whale the ship, but he did say go for it for the 4k starter pack and grind if it's of interest iirc.

TBH he does not care anymore and you can see it in the effort he put into the "review". However, he has enough experience to get a decent feeling about a ship after 2 games. Not the gimmick, just the ship ...

Stats from today:

Please note that ZF-6 started out badly and she's still around 49% WR. She was praised by certain reviewers and you guys explained that dockyard ships are used by clueless whales, that's why the initial stats are low. Now the clueless whales have the best win rate with D7P. My takeaway is that the D7P is a good ship.

D7P is fine, she does struggle a bit to deliver damage but since I dont really have good caps for her its small wonder thats the case, once De Ryter is up to speed it should be fine

Unlikely. YouTube says this was published on 16 august... that is monday. 
His end of era statement is from 14 august... saturday.

He may have recorded it earlier but even then. He must have know that he was going to resign by thursday (when D7P came out). He says he has lots of reasons, all of them dating back more than a week. He must have been thinking about this for weeks, if not months.
And surely the CC's co-ordinating to achieve max.damage, took some time.
He knew he was going to resign prior to making this "highlight"...
 

Also, what is the difference between a "highlight" video and "an edited review" if your goal is to damage the image of the ship hoping nobody will buy it???

Its a Highlight, recorded from a stream.

 

Published date will not be the same as the date it was recorded.

According to the stats page, his first battle with D7P was on Thursday, he also mentioned his client getting patched before starting up the game. This does not give any excuse for a rushed no effort review. Many players base their purchase decision on his advice, which was of crap quality in this case.

Flambass doesn't really do ship reviews. This isn't a ship review, or is it labelled as one. 

 

It's him whaling the dockyard and playing a couple of games. His one bit of advice is to not whale the ship. Which seems like fairly sensible advice.

The only time that the word "review" pops up is in the title of this thread - The video is obviously called "Dockyard build and 2 games".

So Flambass is hardly at fault for the disability of the viewer to read.

Flambass doesn't do reviews much, apparantly for good reason. LWM did. She was bullied out of the community program by WG. Remember? O wait...

I think it does not matter if you can technically call this a review, as people follow his advice and base their decision on what he said. If he told this before the CC debacle, then it's even worse as he did not take his influencer job seriously.

This is a misinformation. He said exactly not to spend any money on this ship, at the very end of his video.
