So everyone knows about the current CC exodus.

Yuro hasn't left the program but from the discord pics i've seen i find it hilarious that the only people WG will have remaining as CC's are these kind's of people lol

This also shows how some people expect CC's to compete against each other, instead of cooperating for the benefit of the game community... apart from, shall we say, selective vocabulary skills... seems like just the sort of material that WG is looking for.... :cap_yes:

It's not likely to stay long, that is, if WG will not bend the rules because a lot of CCs departed in a very short amount of time.

Oh, and very selective application of their rules, as well.

at the least he has to be kicked. there is no option for weegee otherwise it looks like they are playing favourites because of the mess they themselves have created.

I however expect them to weasel out of this as they have proved themselves to be about as scummy as they come regarding bias and twisting things to their own ends.

This has only just been highlighted and it’s not yet Monday. He will be gone soon, they kicked Zoup for far less.

oh come on, this isn't recent behaviour while WG is supposed to vet CC social media activity to make sure they stay within their community guidelines.

That they have omitted to take action in this case, so far, is not accidental, it is not credible to believe WG have been ignorant. If they do take any action it will be because somebody has finally outed Yuro with this public leak, forcing WG to act. There is no need to  look for excuses for WG, they can do that themselves, probably another "miscommunication."

People have been kicked from the CC program for far less, for single incidents, for accidental slips of the tongue, for poor judgement, but this is not an isolated incident, it is not a exceptional example, but a pattern of behaviour and language that Yuro has employed, consistently, for effect.

What does that say about Yuro's fanbase and discord followers that it took 3 years (according to the chat logs that have been published) for one Yuro discord member to break the silence? Very well done to whoever carried out the leak, at least someone ... What does it say about WOWS failing to supervise and take executive action at any point over the past 3 years, considering they are supposed to oversee and enforce their own community guidelines?

Indefensible.

addendum : Yuro's language has been published by him in public channels. Not hidden apparantly.

I'm sure we are all brimming with compassion for WG big wigs over the predicament they, all of a sudden, find themselves in. :cap_haloween:

Not a fan of this "cancel culture" myself, but if WeeGee was in any way consistent, they would have to kick him off the program. Pretty bad, considering he is by far the biggest CC they got left now methinks

We ofc all know that Weegee is in fact not very consistent apart from their [edited]ups :Smile_trollface:

Yuro stept out of line and made a weak attempt for an apology on Twitter

I think they do monitor their CCs & fanbases, especially the more popular ones, and so they also monitor their popular CCs content and style, if only for the very simple reason, they want to know their audience/consumers. But I'm sure you are right, they cannot monitor every single sentence, every emoticon, every gesture, I mean finding a rare, if not single and unique, example of racist language by a CC that publishes many hours of content per week, would be too much. Nobody is perfect, we have all said something at some point, something uniquely stupid we instantly regret, something we hope everyone will forget.

Of course, that doesn't include Yuro, his comments have been neither rare, nor unique, but consistent, and over a very long duration (at least THREE YEARS) Yuro has been shown to be a habitual racist and homophobe.

It's just blatant hipocrisy. Basically everybody is a racist (according to OP (and most likely himself aswell)) and does it and yet they have the nerve to call people out on it.

Does it really matter what he talks about privately? Or did he do it in the open for everyone to read?

If we start monitoring private talks of these people then in my opinion that goes to far

Well to be insulted, you would have to be a member of his discord, so until yesterday, directly, probably no that many. But that isn't his style, as far as I understand, he has preferred to cultivate and channel hate to bond (ewwww...) fans within the social media spaces he controls. Now thta this has gone public, I'm pretty sure he has managed to insult half the planet, which I guess will be a new metric for success, of sorts.

this wasn't from private messaging, it was entirely public (worse, in a public space where he set the rules).

Wargaming will likely keep Yuro for the time being for obvious reasons. That aside I dont expect Wargaming to do anything this week or any time after. The issue will likely be ignored until things cool down. Once it does Wargaming will revise the CC program with strong emphasis on control. There will be negotiations with the ex CCs. Some will accept the new conditions and return. Quality of content and publicity of WoWS might suffer for a short while but dont expect anything beyond that.
