Hi all,

Credit where credit is due - IMHO "Bralws" were great addition and should be made permanent feature of WoWs !

It is summer so I had more time than usual (especially when on standby at work in after hours) - so  played "Brawls" (always alone - just 2 "DIV" battles)... :Smile_honoring:

Brawl #1

Total Games = 159

Scharnhorst 100%

Victories / Defeat = 89 / 70 = 55,97%

Kills = 145

Kills per game = 0,91

Game with 3 kills = 7

Average damage per game = 46.388

Total Credits = 38.343.315

Credits per Game = 241.153

Average Game length = 0:06:39

Brawl #2

Total Games = 190

T-61 = 177 = 93%

Mutsu = 12 = 6%

P. E. Friedrich = 1 = 1%

Victories / Defeat = 109 / 81 = 57,37% (T-61 = 58%, Mutsu = 50%, P. E. Friedrich = 100%)

Kills = 125

Kills per game = 0,66

Game with 3 kills = 3

Average damage per game = 25.487

Total Credits = 39.234.297

Credits per Game = 206.496

Average Game length = 0:06:10

All in all very very fun and quick gaming mode (adrenaline filled you might add) - nice way to quickly and efficiently farm Credits / FreeXP / EliteCaptainXP !!! :Smile_coin::Smile_medal::Smile_honoring:

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.

In all games I only used "Papa Papa" for +300% FreeXP and "Zulu" for +20% Credits

I agree

Brawls is a part of the game already. Its kind of like ranked seasons.

Honestly its the only part of the game I actually appreciate WG for.

Only gamemode that matters to me.

If they destroy Randoms and ranked, idc, as long as brawls are in the game, I am a happy man

Also full on german divs for the win

German apes, strong together

I also like brawls and play them quite a bit.

It seems much more free of the normal aggravation of randoms etc.

I enjoyed the T7 Brawls fun but the T6 were a bit boring, didn't bother 'going all the way' with the mission for T6.

Also I think they need to take Two brothers map out of the rotation, on paper it would seem like a great map for Brawls but 9/10 it was just a camp fest.

In Brawl #1 on "Two Brothers" using my Scharnhorst I had (30 battles out of 159 = 19%):

  • Victories = 13
  • Defeats = 17

In Brawl #2 on "Two Brothers" using my T-61 x25 and Mutsu x2 I had (27 battles out of 190 = 14%):

  • Victories = 13
  • Defeats = 14

Ever since ranked got changed (last year?) and ranked-sprint got sacked for this signature Brawls (regardless or tier) has been the most fun this game has provided since - well, ever.

The 3v3 t9 brawl last christmas (cue Wham) was fun af!

i absolutely disagree ... the amount of wrong/bad/greedy/harmful decisions made during the few last years ...

and it still goes in the same direction

and then smbdy comes up with "credit where credit is due" lol

I loved them, really helps to finish daily missions chain fast this way. Also extra credits, coal and flags.

I did not count, but got so many loses in a row quite often, that my winrate was probably 30% or less. Also did not use any signals, since when mount them I always lose in brawls.

Yeah battles are fast if you keep losing constantly. Press the battlebutton, die quickly, leave battle, rinse and repeat, right? Right? LOVE IT! I bet your teammates enjoy you playing for teh lootz too. Glad to have you aboard sailor. :Smile_sceptic:

Played few but TBH i find them utterly repetitive and boring, useles for grinding and useless for farming also the prizes from the mission chain are tied to wins ergo with the “average players” around one basically ends up playing few ships that are viable over and over… Not exactly my definition of fun…

I played a few, although more of the T7 edition than T6; I seem to have more fun when I can play something like Scharn, Tirpitz, etc. (delete as applicable for tier), and you can't really at T6.

I also got a string of battles on the 'Two Brothers' map (I think - the map with two big islands separated by a narrow channel and the most valuable circle requires you to go into the very centre, right?) and I find that one rather wearing...

Yeah, the most efficient tactic for me there was, assuming a standard order of battle of one BB, one DD and one cruiser each, that each ship blocks one ring and waits for the Reds to come. It was eased by having German hydro ships (either DD or CL) in front.

Charging through the middle was much more aleatory in its outcome and going round most often illusory due to a lack of time.

I agree to agree! I grinded out my Normandie on the current brawls session and looks forward for more.

Isn't the lineup in clan battles also just encompassing "few ships that are viable over and over"?

But indeed, there were a fair share of Andrea Doria's and T-61 around. And going by the numbers of Shinonomes I saw, lots of veterans must have been also active lately.

I suggest that there is value in the occasional more positive posts/threads (and, gods know, they are occasional!):

  • The forum 'community' is one of the more fun bits of the game, and entirely unremitting negativity would probably eventually kill the forum entirely; yes, there is plenty to b*tch about - and I do, frequently - but there are a few positives here and there and it makes a nice change to talk about something more fun now and again.
  • There may be some value in - obliquely - letting WG know that people do notice and appreciate it on the rare occasions where they do something good. Although in a different industry, I've had to keep a forum on my radar for professional reasons in a past life; when people are almost entirely negative, you stop listening to them altogether eventually (the reverse is also true - the over-enthusiastic posterior-kissers don't tell you much of use either). I know WG are not exactly poster children for listening to their customers, but they could be infinitely worse (believe it or not).

interestingly, Two brothers at T7 is where the entire lot charged in down the middle trying to pull a flambass

But yes at T6, CV and all made use have to go around, with maybe me or one of my div mate in a BB, hold the team from pushing while my fast DD and cruiser got behind. Bayern is pretty tanky ngl:cat_cool:

Btw Gneisenau, Weimar, and Z-39 were amazing here. Hydro, ability to cit cruisers and torps everything else made Z-39 really good (it could fight DDs back too), Weimar's firepower, yolo power, and AP, as Gneisenau's armor, torpedoes, guns that overmatch, and amazing speed, made these 3 an amazing combo

German apes strong together:cap_cool:

Brawls were a great idea. We need them more often. Had a lot of fun, could grind daily missions. Needs a lot more variation, tho. It became tiresome to always start from the same spawns moving to the center of each map. No reason the caps couldn't have been elsewhere.
