Some Help Understanding the Summer Event.

So. Thanks to WGs "Translation Error" this whole thing has Unfortunately gone Completely into Chaos and has turned into the usual Dumpster Fire which just Oversahdows everything else.

 

Including Me actually being somewhat unsure about this Event.

 

 

So basicly. We get 300 Summer Tokens from Missions.

Thats about the First Package of the Entire Line.

 

So the Packages Cost.

So for the Whole Event to Complete you would need to get

12750 Summer Tokens.

 

 

 

Now. I noticed that Buying Doubloons basicly Allows you to get Summer Tokens.

Now.

You get 1 Summer Token for 10 Doubloons bought.

The 5000 Doubloon Package therefore gets 500 Summer Tokens.

This Costs 16.20 Euros.

 

So thats about 3 Cents for a Token.

You get 300 Tokens from Missions.

So you need to Buy 12450 Tokens by Buying Doubloons.

That would mean you need to Buy 124.500 Doubloons.

Which basicly means that Finishing this Event Requires a bit over 400 Euros.

 

 

 

So.

Someone Pls Explain to me.

 

Is this Event basicly just a Whale Event where basicly the Whales are Rewarded for Throwing Money at the Screen and get some Additional Reward for it ?

Or am I missing some not yet Active Event where we will be Allowed to Earn like 5000 or so Tokens to at least get up to Point X in the Event Chain ???

Its WG using predatory monetization and scummy wording only to retract it quickly after its found.  DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS.  DO NOT ENCOURAGE THIS BEHAVIOR FROM WG.

Thats what I am asking too.

 

Right now. We only got 1 Mission Chain for 300 Tokens.

It lasts the Whole Event and no other Missions have been Announced.

 

So I wonder if there is anything else to it.

There was some talk about special Atlanta-pack that comes with tokens.

Watching specific-streams might net you some tokens, maybe??

News website should have some "claim tokens" buttons coming at a later date, but.....   yeah, its fubar.

                            Yep, that about sums it up. There's also the fact the voyages containers are your typical RNG mess, a chance to get permanent camos except the containers do not always drop camos but they do drop camos for ships you don't even have. Then there's the use of the term "sale". WG says these tokens are a "gift" and goods are discounted in the premium shop yet seem adamant to not inform the consumer how much the goods were worth before or how much the discount actually is valued at. Probably because A. The bundles were never sold before and B. Doubloons and bundles are almost always on sale so what's the point of even flashing an original sale price anyway?

 

As usual, this is just WG being scummy. In the UK our consumer protection act actually regulates any "sales" event and retailers, shops, sellers etc are required to inform the consumer on the original price of goods sold during a sale. The goods must also have been on sale at that price for "a meaningful period of time". This act does cover online stores and shops including videogame goods and micro-transactions. 

 

The consumer has a right to be informed. But as we all know too well by now, WG is incapable of communicating effectively, efficiently or even at all.

 

Yet more disappointing events relating to WarGaming. They should really just start listening and opening up, at all levels because this isn't just some minor rule-breaking in class. This is straight-up lying to our faces. Dishonest and disrespectful behaviour at the most basic of levels. But WarGaming do not care, not their staff, directors or managers. Even for events like this with just two minor clarifications made and it would be fine...

 

This sale is not worth a single coin. I highly recommend not spending any money on this event, if you want a specific camo then purchase the doubloons and buy it directly in-game for your specific ship. It will be a lot cheaper in the long run.

I was once a whale but it was only hundreds per year, not event!!!

 

I would love to know how many people complete this event but I’m sure WG will never tell us this.
