Napoli is the most fun i had in this game since commander rework

just seeing my secondary doing great work just like it did before commander rework feels so good

and all of this with very little investment compared to secondary bbs

also i have 2 sad things that this ship reminds me of:

 

one is the powercreep, like this ship without investing anything has better secondaries than ships who heavily invest into them

second is that THIS SHIP IS BASICALLY WHAT THE ITALIANS BBS COULD HAVE BEEN IF WG WANTED TO MAKE THEM ACTUALLY FUN

 

so far i really enjoy this ship, finally a ship that meant for players like me who love pushing brawling and secondaries

I dont get it, what are the range of these secondarys?

8 with the accuracy module and the flag. Probably 8.8 with the secondary module.

 

I played one battle with it and I think I kind of like it. I feel like it's a bit bigger zao, with more useless guns but better survivability and smoke.

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but yea I think it is. If a target closes on you and gets under the 8.7km firing in smoke detection range then you can still do considerable damage with secondaries and torpedoes without lighting yourself up. If they hesitate and hang just outside that range then you can bring all 3 weapon systems to bare with impunity, and given that the secondaries can account for a good chunk of your damage you want to keep it firing as much as possible. Plus they have quite high arcs so at max range you can shower targets behind cover quite nicely.

They are helpful, especially when thin skinned ships give broadsides.

 

it reminds me of my old GK when everyone was in 32mm battleships. Anything within secondary range  would lose health as if they were flooding. If the enemy battleship turns bow in, you simply target another ship and get your secondaries work on the bow.

 

This is where the Napoli struggles. Although it has better dpm and accuracy than even a full secondary build Gk but as it’s SAP, it does little damage to bow on targets. The 90 mm to hit superstructure often though due to their arcs

If some thing goes broadside they work beautifully but you have torps and good AP that also works nicely at close ranges.

 

This ship is fun and the secondaries can work very well at times. 
 

ive also had a very  good look at dispersion charts. Up to 12 km it has a similar dispersion area to the Moskva. A Yamato this morning  learned about this the hard way when I got 4 citadels in a salvo from the front turrets. 
 

I do really enjoy this ship.

You want secondaries to help you out with nose-tanking targets.

I especially liked the direct comparison with the Pensacola, four tiers lower, which got more damage more quickly in the training room scenario despite having really bad luck with the fire RNG.

That was one of my better ones from yesterday. You're right about the CQB btw, now I think of it I don't think I'd had one trigger all day. Like others say, I assume its the new ammo type and sloppy WG programming.

the fact that they are selling this ship for £100 its definitely not worth it.. coal on the other hand still nope in my eyes once your target is saturated especially nose in your saponderies are useless

That's the kind of argument I'd expect from someone determined to hate on the ship at all costs. If the play style is not your cup of tea then fair play, but as someone who has the ship I can tell you for absolute certain that all this talk of the secondaries being useless is absolute rubbish.

never said I hated the ship I simply said its not worth it in my eyes

after about 15 battles i can say its OK. i dont really like the main guns unless you fight at 12 km and HE is useless feels like petro HE. dispersion can get pretty bad and you can get weird citadels although you are angled. Overall i hate it less than my previous purchase the immelmann

You said it wasn't worth it due to the secondaries being useless, which is a rather false premise. Looking at your profile it seems you've neither played it nor faced it, so how can you come to that conclusion?

Aye, that lack of consistency is one of the major drawbacks of the ship. I find the same with other brawlers in general, like Pommern. The potential is there but realising it is often at the mercy of so many factors.

I haven't played the game in 2 weeks but I have watched flamus video on it
