There's also the Rowan Atkinson sketch with him as the owner/waiter in an indian restaurant in britain, taking the orders from a bunch of drunk football fans. It doesn't tell less about food, but more about humor, though..

 

And from a german: to enjoy english food one needs to have gained an educated taste... won't help for the "fry everything, even chocolate bars" scotch cuisine or the "potatoes, potatoes everywhere... and cabbage" irish dishes. Not sure about welsh kitchen though... but if the welsh rabbit is an indicator, no education will help I fear.

Lucky you. I have received a weeks ban after typing ''Ágir je govno'' in game chat. That is Croatian, an it means ''Agir is crap''. As per WG, I was breaking EULA! 

 

BTW. Gay means light-hearted and carefree last time I have cheeked. I guess when you type ''My colleague at work is gay'' as per WG in 99% of the cases you type that you are insulting him!

I took a trip to London when the UK was still part of Europe and not an oligarch colony.

I tried to get bread in a supermarket.

Personally, I prefer Bratwurst; but each to their own.....

but putting chocolate 'down there' might lead to a nasty infection......

So... it's not all bad...

the bread though... yeah... probably one reason why so many brit soldiers who were stationed in germany and got used to real bread chose to marry a nice german girl and stayed in germany...

Mate, I get chatbanned all the time. I'm chatbanned right now. It doesn't bother me. 

 

I swear. A lot. I do it in real life. I do it on chat forums. What can I say? I'm a passionate, but potty mouthed guy. I'd repeat any of it to people's faces. 

 

What do chat bans mean, anyway?

Hardly anybody bothers with chat in game anyway.

 

There are quick commands for that.

 

Swear words exist. Everyone uses them. Why WG insist on allowing them in game, and then banning folk from using them, is beyond me. 

 

Homophobic / racist / sexist language, however, has no place anywhere.

But you literally can't use it as an insult even if you want to, hence i disagree with your explanation. It's not an insulting word.

For instance, if i tell you "you're gay, man/you sound gay dude" you could easily answer "thanks but i'm not gay/thx but i'm straight" or if you would tell me the same, i wouldn't take offense to that and give the same response. On the other hand, if you replace the word with "fa...t", then it becomes insulting and i'd agree with you. 

 

With the same logic of the in-game chat filter that defines gay word as an insult, the word "straight' should also be an insult and if you call a gay person 'hey , what's up straight dude?" they should take offense to that. In reality, would they take offense to that? No. Because, neither gay nor straight are bad/foul words regardless in which context you use them.

Funnily enough the F-word used instead of the G-word by certain 'dumb americans' is not actually an offensive word.....

It's the proper name for English Meatballs.... Made by a company called Brains, look it up.

Or it's the name of a Swedish scientist who cofounded their science institute.

 

Context is everything, but machines are dumb so we have 'banned word lists'.

Several UK placenames will trigger 'bad word' filters....

And one guy responds in general chat and gets chat banned after the game;
