I had the steal to obtain her when it was available but when you said that she was going to be removed and come back in another internal currency I spend my steal to another ship. WG have stated that the USS Black will be released for another currency than steel, but they haven't said when. Without them having given an ETA, it is hard to claim that they are being late about it. I don't think you have to fear that she will never be available again, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it. My guess is that she will be released in conjunction with some special occasion within a year or two - but that's just a guess on my part, mind you. If they do this I'll bet they will make a ton of money, since the combination of smoke and radar is a very tempting one. I won't say it can't be effective, but it is rather situational and I have been able to get the full use of it a bit less often than I might have imagined when I got her. Her slow and stealthy long-range torpedoes float mines can be hilariously fun but they are even more dependent on luck, and they are also less of a novelty these days than when the Black was first introduced. BTW on this general subject, if WG want some (more - I'm stupid) money from me, how about some extra cammos for Black (Flint too, come to that) that don't require competence to get? WG has dished out many renowned or strong free ships (Missouri, Musashi, Alaska, Black, Smabalans, Smobalansk), I think especially now with the "maybe subject to balance changes" and sellout mentality of high tier premiums, they will not make such a "mistake" again, when they can generate real cash from it, be it directly or indirectly, e.g by adding it to the dockyard or putting it into scam boxes. Ships with radar will most likely not be available for free anytime soon anymore, maybe never again, that is my guess. That being said, do not be sad about it. Smoke + radar is a strong combo, especially in competitive, but you now have way more radar ships in the game and the all mighty CV perma spotting. All this changes the meta constantly and "balancing" happens around these factors. On top of that, you most likely will never have a perma fun effect from any purchase you make. You might sail 100 or a couple more games and then you will be after the next must have ship, this circle will never end. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It is my guess too, as they stated that several of the "super" ships to get had their last chance christmas 2020 there is probable that these ships will be replaced by new, f.e.
