To be fair early on as a player, I remarked in a discussion here that I didn't really look too much on WR, I was more concerned about enjoying myself. 

 

A staff member popped in to give me the answer á la "oh don't worry, when your WR goes up you'll start enjoying it more". 

 

That was basically the same answer, just in other words.

There's a wider point that ultimately comes back to submarines, which was why 15 v 15 was being asked for.

 

It may be true that ships are balanced around a certain number of enemies, but if you bring in a completely new class that is fundamentally different to all others then all balance is already broken and you're going to have to rework everything anyway, regardless of if it's 12 v 12 or 15 v 15.

 

Likewise (later in the answer) 12 v 12 might well be an optimal size for the game in terms of player influence and enjoyment, but if that is the case then that's another way of saying that subs simply don't work in the game because you can't shoehorn 5 different classes into a 12 v 12 game and expect it to work.

Not interested in wasting time but as an example WG’s statement about the claimed “communication gap” between the qna and balance team. Flamu proceeds to spend 10 minutes shouting about the communication with regards to events and sales of loot boxes. While valid criticism it has nothing to do with the statement, 0. 
Any time you have to force yourself to create a fake laugh, what you say isn’t funny.

WG claimed that they dont have any communication problems. and their every excuse was communication problem. with players and also intern. we have seen multiple times that after scumming WGs excuse about "internal communication". so, you dont need flamus opinion. you can criticize it yourself, cant you?

its about the video and video is about WG bullshting. so, person A, B or flamu, doesnt matter. what they say also doesnt matter. the video is about q&a. if you dont comment about the main topic but whine about the caster, i ofc assume that you got somehow butthurt by him.

Erm.....no. The thread is mainly about the Q&A, with the accent on the A part. There are many people, who don't necessarily read the discord (me included) Also, as Flamu pointed out the reactions to their answers are disabled. They say that feedback is valuable, so.....

     I tried to avoid making this thread about Flamu because what one personally feel about him.....is not the scope of this thread. Some people denied ( quite vehemently)  the fact that the "torpedo bug" even exist, even after Wg has acknowledged the bug, because it was Flamu who first reported it.Which is....yeah.

Because every time they claimed "miscommunication" as the reason for those blunders. They cannot say with a straight face, that there is no communication gap, when  idiocies like the Yukon debacle just happened.

Their answers are soo far off from the reality of this game, their past behaviour and modus operandi, that people just don't know how to react. it is literally unbelievable. More so they have literally zero communication skillz.

There is no WG communications gap. WG claims there is a communications gap when their ham fisted attitude has become so blatant and obvious that it becomes a problem for them. Then they claim it was a communications failure when in their view the only failure was that people were not fooled by their obfuscations. 

Unless I am very mistaken, WG is controlled by accountants who try to maximise profits. They don't give a rats a$$ about the game or player experience. Experienced players who are pee'd off by this are ignored. It does not matter to their small brains that these are long term customers who have supported their game for years. Their spreadshit tells them more profit can be had by attracting new customers. So  the old guard.

 

Now you may not like this. You may be disappointed. But it does not seem to weigh very heavily on their minds. Their next month's targets do.

Maybe the comminication gap is so big that they failed to communicate to each other that there is a problem with communication :)

Fair cop - however Clarkson is a classic case of someone who puts on a bit of an act when he needs/wants to. Watch one of his history documentaries on PQ17 or the St. Nazaire Raid - the persona disappears and he does an excellent job of being knowledgeable, serious and respectful of the subject matter. Same with his books or writing on cars (the thing he knows in great detail). Those I know who've met him and spoken to him at events, etc. report a similar thing - the 'Top Gear Clarkson' is a very different side to the 'History Buff Clarkson'. 

 

The delicate balance is knowing when to deploy the sarcasm/wit/snark and when to behave like a grown up. Something we all get wrong!

 

On topic - Flamu knows his stuff. He knows how the game is played and has a solid grasp of the balance/mechanics involved - crucially he also has an insight into the minds/people of WG - having met them face to face, dealt with them, talked with them, etc. If he says something is unbalanced and provides evidence/reasoning/logic to back it up then I give weight/credence to that opinion despite the language/delivery. If he just says 'Ship X sucks! WG are a bunch of ******' that's a opinion he might have - but that doesn't hold much weight. This Q and A video was a case of the former rather than the latter in my book.

I think they now have "We can never be wrong" issue along with a "idk, just throw in a random answer, maybe ppl might buy into it" issue when it comes to feedback.

if WG said that Zao has quite good maneuverability and concealment, so they want to keep the HP low in fear of making the ship OP, half of the player base and community would buy into it, and I can confidently say that. 

But no, they said Zao has "good" armor, and high number of battles. Like WG srsly. Even if you have to give an excuse, give a good one
