Quote

We did not want to directly sell the ship and thereby allow inexperienced players to buy into Tier IX-X battles. We consider those upper two Tiers reserved for players who make an effort to play the game, and even though you can participate in top-Tier matches with Tier VIII Premium ships, you would be on the bottom of the food chain.

I love this quote from that article - about why they made Missouri available for free exp rather than dubloons.

Shows how far WG have fallen really. Such a shame that we've ended up here.

According to Carbine Carlito (YT dude) WG say only 1500 nibs (world wide) bought the ARP Yamato that didn't have any T8 Tech tree ships. So their conclusion is that this will not change the game in any way at all, just make it more accessible to players (with big fat wallets).

And once again they crap on players that play the game, no free exp ship for 1.5 years. thanks. I think f.exp ships died with the removal of doubloon sales. So they "gave" us the research bureau to sink our hard earned "free" exp on.

Shame on you, shame..

so i remember WG saying they would NEVER sell T9 or T10 premiums for money. they broke the T9 promise few years ago and not - T10. i guess its time to stop whaling and find some other games where complete noobs with 0 random battles cant get to 10 thorough their wallets. sad sad day has come

We never had this promise. Several years ago there was a reply, that currently we are not planning to sell premium ships higher than tier VIII. Nothing was said, that we will never sell them.

Also in case of Napoli, we introduced here for Coal, so basically everybody have an option to grab her for free, technically. We just also added an option to purchase her for doubloons or money, if somebody would be interested.

Btw though a newcomer technically can purchase this ship now, but stats from ARP Yamato, which was the first tier X premium ship in shop, showed us, that only 1500 people worldwide purchased this ship without having researchable tier VIII in their port. This number is Worldwide, so on EU you could have met only several hundred of those in battles, while several hundred thousand players are playing on EU server each month.

someone whose name not going to show, but people who follow the forums have seen this message 15 minutes agoimage.thumb.png.f0fb538481b535815926c512fa9443d1.pngimage.thumb.png.377f68ea4518b5876323c63ad943455c.png

Let the noob flood gates open!

i know i wont be able to find such information now, but i am certain this "promise" was done either in closed beta times or right after release. and while it takes time to get the resources required to buy this ship in armory for coal and makes people to actually work and hopefully get at least slightly better at the game, granting the ability to buy them for money - does not

i mean, i am certain they are breaking rules of some countries for selling what is basically a lootbox, but who cares about that, eh? and sometimes they just mix in "random bundles", which are same lootboxes, only you see what you would get in the next one before you buy it, but you still do, because the one thing you need is in one of last bundles, eh?

How and which EU law is being breaking here with Napoli sale?

We know the meaning of the word never. They question here is, was is used with the statement of selling highest tier premiums?

It was used before and WG walked all over it. So yeah, let's not go there.

And here it comes, it was a communication problem, a misinterpretation of the players of course..

Dear Players, World of Warships is in a fine state and if you have other experiences, then they are just wrong!

Sorry YabbaCoe, I have no problem with you, but your employer doesn't make it easy for us and I'm slowly getting tired of having to have such discussions over and over again.

You monitor our fedback? Sure.. sure..

Still it is clearly announced condition that comes with the purchase of the ship. All other rules connected to that are mentioned in EULA for example.

Yes, with submarines, we know that, it was a mistake and also we appologized for that. Honestly since that we are cautious not to use that word again, as in game development, you don't know, what can change and what would be possible in future.

Nope.

This was explained often enough. That is the industry standard.

Look at the World of Warcraft players bought in 2004 and the WoW of today. It is not the same. Not all changes were liked.

Many people wanted the old WoW, that is why Blizzard introduced WoW Classic after many years.

Il y a 11 minutes, YabbaCoe a dit :

I don't work in legals , I'm not a lawyer by profession so I'm only guessing if there are some laws being broken here. I compare this to buying anything else really. Let's say a car. I buy a car but the company that sold me the car keeps the right to change it at anytime. So after a month I get weaker engine cos I was driving too fast.

At this point words mean nothing, only actions count.

I realize putting small font letters at the end of a contract that none reads makes it all fine and legal. It's still scummy AF.

I buy something blue for a 100€, month later it's pink. I didn't want pink, I want it blue. But there is nothing I can do about it. Still my money is gone. I would be a very angry customer.

Then do not spend money on successful online games or software. They tend to change over time.

Microsoft deactivates functions of their customer paid operating systems, when they are no longer supported.

Nice looking ship. But was it really necessary to price it at a 100€?

Do you think a pixelboat is this much worth?

I mean, we can buy it for coal, so why not make the price more reasonable, like 20€?

I'm paying less than 100€ for my girl if I go out and in that case I'm actually getting something that isn't completely underwhelming.
