That's not entirely correct.

If you have the premium ship yourself, you can pick it and then mirror the teams in the training room. This way there will be a bot with the same premium ship on the other team.

Then you can even select another ship yourself.

Doesn't help though, if you don't have the premium ship yourself to begin with.

Damn it....I couldn't help it and still did it...damn. oh well. Now that I'm here.

It really isn't.

It's certainly not impossible. It's just a constant trial. I largely stopped playing high tier DD after the CV ReWreck dropped. CVs suck the fun out of everything, but their nastiest effects are on DDs.

The duration of radar is not balanced. It has 12 km with 25 sec at T8. It should be around 15 secs.

25 sec is fair as she trades a lot to get access to radar consumable gimmick. If they nerf the radar duration they will have to buff some other parts (reload for example)

I can guarantee that he is a better player than yourself.

Wondering why this https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/naval-legends-tambovskiy-komsomolets/ is featured on the site... Russian missile boats soon? :Smile_facepalm:

I thought exactly the same, and remember WG saying they tested missiles in house and they were fun but wouldn't work in the game.

So I guess they will be coming and glorious Soviet Navy will crush all WW1 and WW2 navies with our 1980's missile boats.

If you compare the

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Borodino

with the

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Champagne

I see here some similarities between both ships.

Correct me if wrong, since I'm no BB expert - but it seems that the BorodinOP (sorry, coudn't resist here :D) seem to be better in any regard?

Champagne had the same accuracy but better pen and much better range, 30km with spotter.

Champagne is mobile while Borodino is a bow in tank that can bounce a lot when angled but has a Stalingrad citadel.

I have Champagne and Slava so I won’t but the Borodino.

Nope she is not, these 2 ships share few similarities but are completely different playstyle. As @gopher31 said, Champagne is a fast long range sniper ship with quick reload time, Borodino is more like Jean Bart style, « bow tank » at medium range with long reload, support battlecruiser.

Why does wargamming continue to produce Russian fantasy ships all the time notice the russian Cvs being play tested as well in game.

Good (only) way to sell to an audience that is losing interest ?

(Not only Russian fantasy ships by the way)

I just read through the promotion text for the Borodino in the shop, and found that it says this:

"Borodino carries Surveillance Radar - a rare consumable for this ship type."

So at least I got a good laugh out of this new ship, even if I won't be getting the ship itself. If I must endure the sad spectacle of Wargaming swamping the game with ever more radars, at ever lower tiers - and more and more of them on battleships, no less - I will certainly not be paying them any money for it.

We are swiftly moving towards the point where every form of consumable will be available to every ship type in the game. The rock-paper-scissors formula upon which the whole tactical set-up of the game is based, is becoming more and more watered down. I was about to say that the big losers are the cruisers, but that doesn't really cover it. The big losers, as I see it, are the players. We are getting access to more and more gimmicky ships, but we pay for that by losing out in gameplay value.

I am not saying that the Borodino in itself will be game breaking, because it won't. It is merely a symptom of a general trend that is taking the game further and further down a road which I, for my part, would have wished for it not to travel.
