I played about 10 battles of this the other for fast base XP for some missions and I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was actually. 

 

1. Only 3 ships

2. All same tier so no bottom tier bs

3. By design it forces a semi-yolo playstyle or else the team will quickly lose to cap points which in turn removes all that bs BB camping and sniping along with cruisers sitting behind islands etc and tbh it really seemed to hurt the team with the CV which is also very nice. 

 

So all in all, it was a bit of a fast paced action packed shootout. It took a while for some players to get that, some did try playing passive and they lost before they knew what happened but once we got the hang of it, it was just a flank speed shootout but had an element of thoughtfulness too. If you just went in gung-ho in anything other than a DD it wasn't a winning formula but you did have to be very aggressive and supporting with a cruiser and BB too and like I said, because there's just 3 ships and it's a very fast pace with ships spawning in relatively close quarters, CV's tended to be a liability to the team that had it because there wasn't enough time, distance or numbers of players to really make an impact and it usually resulted in what felt like 3 ships vs 2 ships since the CV was not really bringing anything to the fight before the 3 vs 2 typically won the shootout and then marched quickly on to slap the helpless CV lol.

 

Good fast paced same tier, no bs fun overall. A nice alternative offering.
