why obviously? considering how long she has been the face and voice of wows most of the people could have learned enough english to tell these lines

Obviously, because she is Russian. Also as I heard, she already speak a little English as she is trying to learn, but as you can see from our Update videos, she simply don't need to know other languages, as she is dubbed into English. And for better understanding, it is better this way.

you are not an englishman but still can write and also probably speak english. considering the years then "speaks little" doesn't really cut. the real problem is that her boss, whoever she/he might be, does not care as in general they don't care what europeans or americans think or wish ...

and to be honest - to have it with a decent accent would be even better, at least we could see that they try ... now I see that they don't even care ... what is not new

on second thought - if it would be as lifeless as jingles and com richard then better not ...

For me it is different. I use my English at work every day, to communicate with you and with colleagues. So for me the knowledge of this language is mandatory. For her it is different. It is not mandatory for her to speak English. Only to look good as usual and present the patchnotes on her native language. And if she would speak in two languages, the recording and creation of those videos would be more than twice as long, which would be a problem. So dubbing by English native speaker works there perfectly.

this is where one sets his standards

afaik - western servers are where lesta makes the money so we would expect little more care and not some fantasy soviet cv's

ps! we were talking about voice-over with limited lines and not patch notes ....

Funny thing, English is the 6th more spoken language in Europe, 5th is Italian, 4th is Turkish, 3rd is French, 2nd is German and 1st is ... Russian.

Ah but you will say but Russia is not in Europe (or Turkey) and I will reply ... neither is England.

I would still prefer to hear Dasha speak in her native language and have subtitles, rather than the generic voice-over we are saddled with. @YabbaCoe

If I remember that correctly, we have more than 360 commands that are needed to be recorded for a voiceover. Also with Dasha, just English wouldn't be enough, because if you have Dutch Dasha for example, she should speak Dutch etc.

Both politically and geographically is Russia in Europe, as well as Great Britain. Geographically is also Turkey and also Georgia, or Kazachstan, but for example politically is Israel included in Europe, for whatever reason.

Why would we change forum to RU, when we have separate RU forum and also supported languages are always the ones most spoken or used.

Obvious in the same way as one can say: "Considering how long you have been playing WoWs, you could have learnt enough Russian!"

You're welcome!

@YabbaCoe I've got no problem with Dasha using Russian as a language, even for another nationality captain but I have one MAJOR complaint

Why do they no longer include Dasha's out-takes at the end of her video's?, they were the highlight of the whole thing for me! :Smile_teethhappy:

That is a really good question. Probably she already learned enough so she is not making mistakes :cap_haloween:
