The flawless history of successes of the massive fleet of Soviet CV mandates them to be as OP in games as in reality.

Well the Italian Navy was far more successful in the 20th century to be fair. But the bar isn’t very high - Russia’s greatest Naval victory was against British Fishermen (and by accident)

I was beaten up by Chkalov today. Felt almost like FDR + Immelmann. And those undodgeable torps when are timed well.... Literally one after another with NO GAPS between them. A massive pile of torps. And this was T8, can't imagine the T10. Oh and because of the one strike attack you barely doing any shotdowns.

Watched a streamer reviewing a replay with the TX CV in it, driven by a top 5 EU CV player. Intentionally flying his squadrons through 3 ships flak before attacking a fourth ship: still managed to fire 7 torpedoes with a VERY small spread and hit 6 for an absurd amount of dmg. The CV player was using all-chat and he said he would sell his soul for WG to keep the ship and planes as is, cuz he would never play anything else.

I plaied against Nakhimov when I was in Stalingrad and in Montana... I was shot at with skip bombs and rockets and surprisingly with no torpedoes...

 

I destroyed full squad easily with aa def of rocket planes before hiting me and around half of skip bombers (due its long range activation)...without aa def i destroyed around half rocket planes and 1/3 of skip bombers.

 

Damage wise rockets hit me for around 7 k if I am broadside if not around 3 k and usually make one fire in Stalingrad in Montana I took around 75 % of that. Skip bombers wise I took from 6 to 10 k in Stalingrad and a Fire in montana again around 75 % of that.

 

I saw one torpedo drop on dd and despite they where slow they destroyed dd as it did not move at all...so I blame dd for that :).

 

I saw around 3 - 4 Nakimov some where in my team. Kill wise they where from 0 to 3 kills and points wise they where usually in middle or bot middle only one was second.

 

Overall I am not too impressed with it but then again I did not play it i just receive damage :)...and maybe i knew how to mitigate some damage as I do play CVsa a lot.

Montana has similar impact like Stalingrad without def aa..and Stalingrad is far from op ship compared aa...with others he is somewhere in the top middle I would say with aa def on and middle without it...

Who would have guessed that? That the russian CV gets a mechanic that fits well the state of AA in this game and let them have even more "fun"?!
