I think I'm waiting for the release of subs to free space on my hard drive.

Not sure I can wait that long myself, especially given the current pace of development ;)

You mean all the gimmicks (ISE and TONE and copy/paste ships) and bugs (torps, random shallows etc)?

Is that what they call subspace? :Smile_hiding:

More thinking that the subs have taken, what, half a dozen tests so far with no end in sight to even setting down the basic mechanics; not sure any of us will be able to wait long enough for them to be released. As you mention though, there are plenty of other reasons ;)

Look how well the CV rework went - then think 'how well the subs release will go'.   CV rework was bad for DDs I think the sub release could be bad for everyone - which is only fair "share the pain".

I guess I'll sit out one patch after subs, then have a look at randoms. I can definitely stick with operations for my part ...

Pain shared is twice the pain. :Smile_unsure:

Yeah, that's my usual benchmark for 'how well do the devs seem to be able to integrate things into their own game?'-type hypothesising as well.

I’m also planning to jump ship when the subs go live, at least up until then I can continue to have some fun playing.

The problem is, you cannot judge that. The initial CV release was far different. So the initial subs release cannot be really compared to the CV rework ...

I am rather sceptical it will work properly, but I don't think it will break the game that much. However it will be the breaking point for a lot of players.

Nice to see a positive post in the forum for a change, even though the replies are mostly negative from the usual whining suspects. :Smile_sceptic:

Good decision I guess.

I gave up few weeks ago. 6 years with the game, huge harbour with many rare ships, but I could not stomach anymore the direction WG is taking the game.  They had beautiful game about naval battles. Interaction between DDs, BBs and CA/CLs worked great. CVs always were pain, but it was dying breed, so most of times we could have fun. WG was actually communicating with CCs and playerbase.

Now... planes everywhere, CVs not enough so now BBs and cruisers carry them. Subs coming (I remember these so called Community Managers were lying promising that WG will listen to community. Community gave sound "NO to subs" and yet here we are with subs coming soon).

I don't know what this game is about anymore.

Our opinions are just meaningless. WG has one strategy: attract as many new players as possible, some of them will buy these pixels before getting disillusioned. New players need new toys, so breaking the game will continue... Old playerbase is worthless to them.

Fun is arguably subjective and subject to change; it is not a measurable metric.

I am personally irritated by the CV changes brought in a number of years ago now.

Constant CV harassment, WG staff/drones chirping up about how balanced CV's are, how WG values "your opinions".

Please stop pooping all over CV's, please post your feedback in this thread so as to isolate the complaints.

Tears from CV players about getting reported every game...

Glorious spreadsheet of Minsk says its Balanzed...

Annual scam after annual scam, WG staff member after WG staff member being paraded on stream, smiling and telling you how good the changes will be....

You know they are "peeing in your pocket" and trying to convince you that it is raining....

Stream Drone:  Ignores 100 messages about how much they suck/how they could improve...

Stream Drone:  "wow you are right BillyBobSniper 420_69; I will be having a go of......"  WG staff offers some other platitudes about game mechanics...

Stream Drone:  Totally ignores the BS they are peddling and being called out on in chat..

I occasionally still get one of those nail biting games of old, basically what keeps me around despite my feelings of WG development and management being utter cancer....  Your mileage may vary.

The game is far less enjoyable than it used to be, and it is not for lack of trying to communicate on the part of the community, super testers or community contributors.

WG going blithely onto introducing subs...

lalalala WE ARE NOT LISTENING lalalala     lel.

With subs I will probably play less than I currently do, but will find the time to come onto the forum and point out WG follies and scams.

WG will not change, I find that expecting nothing from them other than constant f*** ups is the best way to be; that way you are not surprised or dissapointed.

Yeah, lots of us switched after the idiotic ReWreck. But then they nerfed operations, to prevent people from avoiding their beloved CVs.

After years of playing WOWs, I have come to understand that the majority of major dev game play decisions are governed by malice.

Did the same this morning. The game is stale and moving in a direction I do not like. GL to those that remain and still enjoy the game.
