USERMUSIC is being removed in 0.10.6 !!!!!!

Well, I do listen to youtube and I have no problem with that. Actually it makes me wonder why this function is needed? 
You can listen to your own music and no game can stop it? 

I could be wrong as I play most games without sound (but it is on stream/vod as you can choose what is where).

I logged a support ticket, this was the answer.

 

They have now closed the ticket. So I am just using Windows Media Player instead. WG probably got complaints that there was copyright music being played when people Twitch streamed or something so done it for that reason.

Nope not fake news straight from WG Player Support.

 

Thing is the music I play is all war themes especially from war movies featuring ships, so music I play is Sink the Bismark, etc and also have in Great Escape, The Longest Day etc so I dont just play any old music I play relevant war themes. Really adds to the atmosphere. Yes I can use Windows Media Player on shuffle with the same music but then again the music doesnt change like it does when its played via Usermusic. Its all off a War Themes double CD I bought years ago.

In spite of the fact that initially we planned to remove the support of User music in 0.10.6, due to a technical mistake, the system was disabled in 0.10.5. We apologize for this mistake and possible inconveniences. 

 

The main reason for removing the user music system support - it had low popularity among our players, but at the same time required significant amount of resources for supporting its functionality. Therefore, it was decided to cancel its support.

When a system/feature is hard to maintain and/or we brake it for our reasons (operations) we have an excuse that the feature has low popularity.

 

In the other corner when we want to support some drunk developer idea from the HQ we getting the diversity and enjoyable mechanics for the playerbase excuse

 

How hard is maintain a music player in the game and why that is broken in the first place ??
In the gta series you could even use shortcuts from your music folder

 

Guess RNG lootboxes have higher priority in the do do list

What you think, could we get an option to open our own lootboxes? I'd love that bit of functionality in the game.
