In short :

 

The changes will make "Airstrike" more comfortable to use. Now the armament will make dealing damage more consistent, but at the same time the damage from each Airstrike activation will become lower. 

 

 

So there it is our feedback. Just amazing how far away from game the balancing team is.

It almost seem like they are... BUFFING the Airstrike :P Way to go comrades, vodka is extra strong today.

 

Pay special attention to the change of the premium one. Biggest complaint was chaining the idiotic gimmick. Well what do you know, let's increase charges from 1 to 3... 

 

This is an absolute travesty and spitting in the face of every fan of the game.

The key here is " researchable cruisers". They can (and will) still sell the old Airstrike for hard cash.

Finaly everybody waited their whole life so Wg can come up with a Genius Idea to make the Game even better......

This will be so awesome :

cv drops you -> cant do crap

Hybrid drops u -> cant do crap

Subs will torp with homing Torps -> cant do crap

 

Maybe they should get rid of all the "Balast" and just show the RNG Calculated Battle results at the start Screen!

Like this we could even get more Games in and it is not so hard to learn the Game and even the Spreadsheet says you have fun.....

So,  the ones, who think WG is gonna collect the feedback and make subs balanced at the end of the testings, are you still here?

  • Main battery reload time increased from 7 to 8.5 s.
  • Changed the "Airstrike" parameters:
    • Reload time increased from 60 to 80 s;
    • Maximum bomb damage reduced from 5800 to 5100;
    • Chance to cause fire by a bomb reduced from 33 to 29%.

Dutch cruiser Eendracht, Tier VII:

  • Main battery reload time increased from 7 to 8.5 s;
  • "Airstrike" reload time increased from 60 to 80 s.

Dutch cruiser Haarlem, Tier VIII:

  • "Airstrike" reload time increased from 80 to 100 s.

Dutch cruiser Johan de Witt, Tier IX:

  • Changed the "Airstrike" parameters:
    • Reload time increased from 80 to 100 s;
    • Maximum bomb damage reduced from 7400 to 6100;
    • Chance to cause fire by a bomb reduced from 42 to 35%.

Dutch cruiser Gouden Leeuw, Tier X:

  • Changed the "Airstrike" parameters:
    • Reload time increased from 80 to 120 s;
    • The number of "Airstrike" charges reduced from 3 to 2;
    • Maximum bomb damage reduced from 8500 to 6800;
    • Chance to cause fire by a bomb reduced from 48 to 39%.

Dutch cruiser De 7 Provinciën, Tier VIII:

  • Main battery reload time increased from 6 to 7.5 s.
  • Changed the "Airstrike" parameters:
    • Reload time increased from 60 to 80 s;
    • Number of planes in the "Airstrike" squadron reduced from 12 to 6;
    • Reduced the number of bombs dropped by each plane;
    • The number of "Airstrike" charges increased from 1 to 3;
    • Reduced the time bombs fall;
    • Reduced the bombs drop zone

 

which are clear nerfs... so as usual during testing, we are changing parameters, trying different approached to achieve more balanced state.

Last time a line without any particular gimmick was released (RN Heavy Cruisers) it was universally derided as sub par and not worth the effort.

I gotta say this line reflects the community feedback. WG does listen. :Smile_trollface:

Correct me if I'm wrong:

 

The individual ship changes lower the damage + fire chance.

But the general changes say that more bombs will drop fast in a bigger area, making avoiding them harder?

 

So a slight damage nerf + easier to hit stuff = ... a buff? a nerf?

Tier VIII Battle

 

Each side has:

  1. Tier VIII CV
  2. Tier VI CV
  3. Tier VIII BB
  4. Tier VIII BB
  5. Tier VII BB
  6. Tier VI BB Ise
  7. Tier VI BB Ise
  8. Dutch Tier VIII CA
  9. Tier VII DD
  10. Tier VI DD
  11. Tier VI Sub
  12. Tier VIII Sub
  • the CV start their planes
  • the Ise Hybrids start their planes
  • the Dutch CA calls in an Air Strike
  • the BB call in Sub hunting planes (no idea if Ise will get those)
  • this game will have more air action than War Thunder Air Battles....

it is a buff, Amin will be esier, you will get another iteration of rocket planes. But more broken imho. But wg will tall you "hay we nerf fire chance from 40% to 39% it is balanced now!"

Nothing mentioned of that, but afaik, only one with 3 charges was Gouden Leeuw and he will have 2 now.

Though 7 provincien will have 3, but also she will have much less planes per strike, than others...

so, you reduced damage and fire chance a bit. it doesnt matter if you increase the freaking number of planes per attack, does it? 

on the top of that, you made them easier to aim by making the bombs fall faster. this is clearly a buff. 

increased the reload time, there were able nuke anyship every 80 secs, now they are gonna do that every 120 secs but easier than before because for some reason they became easier to aim with. 

 

besides the fire chance and damage is still ridiculous if we consider the amount of bombs droped.

Clear nerfs to all weapon-systems, so the player HAS to use airstrike to get some damage out.

Because some forumites stated that they will just use guns and torpedoes while grinding, and will ignore the broken airstrike-thing.

I still think a delay between the strikes would be nice.

One of the reasons you (WG) stated for the CV rework was to lower the alpha damage by planes.

 

And now you give Dutch cruiser to ability to do massive alpha damage with these strikes by dropping 2 strikes at once.
