It will work the same way how it is possible now. You can join through Steam to PT and rewards will be credited only if you have a main World of Warships account on Steam that was used at least once to log in to the World of Warships server.

  not too impressed.... I used to get rewards on my EU   AND  my  NA acccount for playing Public Test.

 

Now it appears I will have to play twice...... once to get rewarded on EU  and again to get rewarded on NA????

As now you don't need to have separate special account for PT, but you can play with your main live server account, you will get rewards for the account you played with.

For me to have to play the Public Test now TWICE  with BOTH my accounts to get the rewards on EU and NA when I used to be able to get rewards on both EU and NA servers by playing ONCE!!!!!👎

And we'll still not see our live server ships in PTS each round ? For what ever reason this is the main issue for me. Either credit us enough currency so we can buy whatever we need or mirror our ships from live + whatever is being tested.

Same. In the old system I got the reward on my EU, NA, CIS and ASIA account. So my PTS reward has now been cut by 75%.

Though tbf, I wasn't playing a lot of PTS anymore anyway but it was a great way to try out the other servers.

I'm also sorry to see my PTS account go. Was always kinda funny having an actual clan there for not really a good reason

Well, on PT it is very easy to unlock ships. Also ships from main account were mirrored before.

Think the question is: Will the mirroring be continued in the future or does WG did away with that feature. For me I don't care what my name on PTS is, but having access to mirrored ships makes PTS way more comfortable. Try to see it this way: You want us to test out new features to check for bugs and to get data for balancing + feedback. With the rewards not being all so great for veterans (I could see the merit for new players to try out new lines before grinding them on live server), it's a "I scratch your back and I'll scratch yours": We can play around with mirrored account on PTS, you get the data you want...  

 

In this version what you want is mainly feedback on the new battle mode....for whatever reason we only get t8 ships in port. So given that I'm not keen on BBs and its just a fun mode anyway, where is the incentive for me spending time on PTS instead of EU-LS getting ships to start playing this mode? For me the change to the mirrored account was a big boost in terms of PTS user convenience.

I had the chance to check it, for me it was not mirrored. But then again I haven't played on PTS for a while so maybe  for you it will be different.

It wasn't, which is why I've asked. Checked it on pts, no mirrored account and I know for sure that I was active in pts last time and did get some rewards earlier this week. 

 

Which in terms of data & feedback is quite an odd choice because with no mirroring there is no way to check for us if there are any weird interactions between the super battleships, the power meter mechanic they use and say Lütjens or Yamamoto.

 

People asked in yesterdays stream if Lütjens works with bbs in that mode and WG didn't know...

As we changed the system of account for PT, as now you are loading basically with your main server account, for every account the standard starting bonuses were applied:

Starting Bonuses

• The research prices for ships and ship modules will be substantially discounted.
• Players will be able to reset Commander skills free of charge.

If you're joining the Public Test for the first time since Update 0.10.2, you'll be awarded the following additional bonuses for your PT account:

• All researchable Tier VI and VIII ships, helmed by Commanders with 19 skill points.
• 500,000,000 Credits; 30,000 Doubloons; and 90 days of Warships Premium Account.
• 50 signal flags of all types (except special signals).

 

Btw it is planned for the future, that accounts will be mirrored, but not now for 0.10.5 PT.

I find myself in exactly the same boat (pardon the pun) Had over 200ships on my PTS account 'all mirrored from main account', Now just a comparative handful, with nothing above T8 (plus a loss of other 'resources' built up on the PTS previously over time). The main problem I have, is how can I obtain the 'Intelligence Reports' to play and review the 'Super-Battleships' when I don't have the T9 and T10 ships required ("...Participate in the Grand Battle playing Tier IX–X ships to earn the new resource...")to play and obtain them?

To unlock tier IX ship you need only 4000 XP... You should have some FreeXP there and if not, one Random battle will do, as also for random battle you will get signals for main server account.

Once you will have tier IX ship, you can participate in thisgrand battle battle to get Intelligence Reports...

Sorry, but because we have completely new system of logging in, as basically old PT accounts are no longer available, everybody started with the same Starting bonuses.

In future we probably will mirror accounts from main server to PT again.

Naval Battle is the clan competition mode where you earn oil for the clan by meeting objectives of increasing difficulty, separated by class/nation combinations. The difficulty of the objectives is shared among the clan. So if, for example, the objective is to get 30 ribbons you may play as a US BB and earn 30 ribbons in a battle to complete the objective. This will increase the difficulty to 60 ribbons in a battle, then 90, then 120... etc. When another clan member checks their naval battle screen, they will see that someone has already made some attempts with US BBs and that the objective is currently 120 for that combination, so they might try IJN BB instead since that would still be at 30.

 

You have to enable the mode for your attempts to be counted, as you only get to take part in 10 battles total per round of naval battles. You get a star every time you succeed in meeting the currently objective for the class/nation of ship that you play in each battle, so in order to meet your requirement you must succeed in 2 of the 10 available attempts.
