What will you be playing at T6-7 and T8-9?

In bronze I will use Gadjah and try out Fiji and T61.

Silver will be Lightning, rest is yet undecided. Maybe Riga?

I predict infestation of Sinops, Sharnhorsts, Nelsons, Fijis and Belfasts :)

 

I will play Sharny, Belfast and Atlanta for captain leveling purposes. Will probably stay in bronze as long as I can.

my tier 6 team: CVs (i have ryujo, etc)

my t8 team: CVs (i have lexington and shokaku)

my t10 team: CVs (white dragon and midway)

on a more serious note, belfasts are british light cruisers, aka very VERY weak. so a good AP volley you can nuke them :D

Hi BTW it was fun with ur Missouri the other day.

I will be training my t61 captain. The gaja is an interesting choice. I can't quite work out what it is about that ship that makes it go well as everything seems to be OK and nothing seems extra amazing but it all seems to come together well enough. Not sure about it in 1v1 dd vs dd though.

I suspect most of my t6/7 dds will come out for a spin though.

T8-9 will be lightning or jutland if the lightning gets stuck in battle.

She has good detection for T7, a good health pool and great guns. Basically she outguns everything she cannot outspot.

Tried Jervis for hydro and normal torps (esp handy for shooting DDs in smoke) but don't like her as much as Gadjah due to +0.2 km detect and -1 km torp range.

Yeah i've played it a lot. Just no one thing that makes it amazing but a good package overall. Will give it a whirl in ranked I guess.

When subs get released they will do another captain skills rework. I bet the points will raise to 25 ... costing around 5 millions cmd xp to reach 25 from 21 :)))))))

I've spent the last few battles getting to grips with Vampire II, so I imagine Haida will be a logical progression for Ranked; it doesn't hurt that she's actively good too. Z-39 is always good value as well.

 

I vaguely wonder if I should make another attempt to get the hang of Belfast; I seem to be the only person that has one and royally sucks playing her...

Gneisenau, Yorck, Mahan, Skåne, maybe Gaede and Hatsuharu, De Grasse, Nürnberg, KGV and Bayern. I will likely avoid my HSF Spee, the gunnery doesn't please me at all, too much dispersion...

 

If I manage silver: Harekaze, Bismarck, Iowa, Georgia, probably Roon for the grind to Hindenburg. If I collect enough coal until then, then it'll be likely the Pommern or Neustrashimy too.

I will definitely play the following ships.

For T6. Bayern, Warspite, Mutsu, maybe PEF, T-61, Icarus, Farrugut, Shinonome, 

For T7. Gneisenau, Jervis, Sinop and Fiji, Myoko. Maybe Shiratsuyu

For T8. Tirpitz/Bismarck, NC, Baltimore, Charles Martel, Atago and Eugen. For DDs Z-23, Akizuki, Kidd and HSF Harekaze OG. I could play Pyotr Bagration but I am not sure

For T9, FDG, Musashi, Georgia, and Izumo, Riga, Saint Louis, Drake, Z-46 and ZF-6, Osyter-got-a-land, maybe Chung Mu and ofc Mogador and Kitakaze.

For T10 Kremlin, C.C, Petro, Hindi, DM and Henri, and Z-52, Daring and Kleber.

 

I'll mostly stick to T7 and a bit of T9. I love Gneisenau and another opportunity to shine in ranked with her, has finally come.

I don't get why the new ranked system got rid of keeping the single tier, introducing +-2 first and now +-1 . What's the sense to use a t6 or t8 (apart eventual OP ships) when you can pick an upper tier?

If you pick something that uptiers well (Harekaze, for example, or Kagero from the silvers), your tier pick will be mirrored on the other side and there's a reasonable chance that the opposing player won't have picked something as effective.

 

There are a few special cases too; Orkan for instance comes with radar that most other T8 DDs don't - taking her can give your side a radar advantage...

 

On my NA account, I don't have any T9s yet (as far as I remember) and did fine in Bronze with T8s.

And now Hybrids - depending on how many Ises get sold, Bronze could well become a DD-free mode...?
