Question to WG

Hello developers. 

Here is a question. You strive, or at least should strive to make this game enjoyable. IMHO you fail at it, mostly due to extreme imbalance between certain ships and ship classes, but it can be hard to balance so many ships even if you do honestly try to do it without any warm feelings toward certain nations, classes of ships. 

But it should be very easy to allow people option to opt out of one of the most IDIOTIC, unnecessary, annoying, imbalanced and stupid feature in this game - weather. 

If you are somebody who likes weather feature, it changes nothing for you, but if you are like me, somebody who actually likes to see further then 6 or 8 kms, whatever that stupid visibility range is, you should be able to opt out. It is easy enough for CVs, HE spammers to dominate game without making BBs blind. 

I mean really - WHY NOT allow people to opt out of this crap feature? I would be willing to wait much longer even to get in to a game, just do not make me blind. 

P.s. whoever had the idea of this feature, you should be fired.

Imagine a BB player complaining that his concealment drops to 8km, so he can no longer claim that he could not get safely close to the enemy and in 2ndary range...

If so, this is one of the stupidest suggestions I ever heard.

One of the worst for slow gameplay is the combo of storm visibility + fat slow US bb line if/when the enemy are kiting your flank - you're out the game as you can't keep up and have to take pot shots at the mini map ghosts. 

Set auto pilot for whichever is best direction to intercept or support - and go make a cup of tea.

Because you cant have some players being affected by a global event and others not. Thats not how balance works...

 

Also, its hilarious that you are complaining about cyclone as a battleship... Battleships are the one class that gains the most from it, while he spammers are probably the ship archetype that loses out the most during cyclones

If I pick YES ... and you pick NO ... do we get into the same game? :)

 

If not ... the reason is obvious if you understand how MM works ... but if the answer is yes, then I have serious doubt in your credibility.

If you get caught like this you misplayed. Period.

There is ample warning that a cyclone is coming. That's is WG's subtle clue to all people in the back to move forward.

Because if they allow this then they should also allow other opt-out options, such as:

- no Epicenter

- no CV

- no DD

- no radar

....

That's is a path WG is probably not willing to follow.

Basically you want to have full visibility on others, while they do not have visibility on you, unless they find and option to have this full visibility as well. It looks like you are asking for an exploit, that everyone will be forced to use and you call it "choice". Nice.

You simply have no clue or are just a troll. Option to opt out would mean to be put in games with normal weather only.

You wrote that you want to opt out from being impacted by weather, not from battles that include weather effects. Next time be precise in your words. Restraining yourself from personal attacks on other would be nice too.

It obviously means the same thing. Only complete fool or troll would think that i would opt out while rest of players in game would have those effects.

Btw long ago i suggested to WG that players should have sort of a block list of players that we do not want to be on same team, that was brushed aside, yet i am to this day sure it would be great idea, and you obviously agree with that.

Simple because after that we ask for an option of No CV please then no DD then blackmark map X or map Y..

First of all one guy did agree with me, second here are like 6 people in this post. Less then 1% of player base probably even reads this forum. Many people hate weather effects and you know it. Just make them optional, if WG cant balance ships, balance classes, balance MM, at least give people freedom to opt out of this weather crap. AND its simple, easy and fast. 

I think i have said all there is to be said here, if developers do not understand how utterly stupid it is to make people blind in game where you have to see, well then that is that, even if some psycho in charge insists that it is A GREAT FEATURE, see how many will opt out if given the chance....
