Ranked Battles—The Third Season: New Maps in the Bronze League

The info on Ranked says:

• In order to enter the next league, you need to reach Rank 1 in your current league and then qualify.

"

I got to Rank 1 in Bronze last sprint and then got reset to Rank 10 Bronze. How do I "qualify" for the next higher level(s) please?

After you reach rank 1 you must earn 5 stars to pass the qualifiers for promotion from Bronze to Silver.

I guess the shortage of players in golden is because less and less qualify. I'm so tired of getting first place in a losing team and no wins. So i give up. I can't qualify to silver nevertheless reach gold. Too many noobs. Worst season ever.

Sleeping Giant is too big and too separated for a T6-7 game mode.

You need to rearrange the cap circles so they become closer to each other, or make it epicenter imo.

Neighbors is welcome though.

WG just doesn't want to accept the fact that not EVERYBODY and EVERY ship should be allowed to ranked. Put some sort of threshold on what you can bring to battle - if ranked is considered a bit more "competitive" than random. I don't play SLAVA in ranked, cause I'm rubbish in it (or any other ship where I have PR below 1000)

Why should we restrict certain ships in Rankeds?

Maybe for the same reason that you restrict certain ships on Clan Wars? Maybe to try make the game a bit fair?

And this is applicable to the matchmaker, where you can find 4 radar ships against none and teams with less than 45% W/R against +55%.

I see, but for Clan Wars, certain ships can have different efficiency based on the tactics being played and organized during this Clan Battle. So as some ships in Clan Battles had some bigger efficiency than others, we decided to put a restriction on them. But in Ranked battles, you are playing on your own and you have same options to get all the ships, sooner or later.

Maybe I'm a weird player, but I tend to try applying same tactics played by my clan to Ranked, using in game chat to coordinate with my team. Although it's more complicated, it can be done.

Ps: what about the triple Marceaus?

Well, it is adviced to try to communicate with ingame chat or ingame commands with your teammates, so you can set tactics together.

You have battles in Ranked facing triple Marceaus?

Yes, of course. And that's why same rules on CW should be applying to Ranked.

No, the triple Marceau is a common tactic wich is still allowed on CW, in Ranked I see it very rarely.

BTW, I'm finding games like this very often. I don't understand the point: are these silver players qualifing to gold?

Yes, if you are doing a qualification you basically play together with players from that higher league and therefore you are also playing with ships of that league.

So, if I understand right, the WG logic is to put people from the 2nd league of football of any country to compete not only with themselves but with people from the 1st league, to ascend. And, if I can remember right, the old Ranked system was about competing from ranks 20-10, 10-5, 5-1, what is, in my opinion a lot more fair. As an example: 4 players willing to ascend against 1.

The more I play WG games, the less I understand their logic. If there is any.

Well, once a player reach rank 1 in his league, he can try to compete in a qualification phase, to basically proof, that he is good enough to qualify to higher league. That is why they play with players from higher league.

Yes, some will proof they are good enough and a lot more won't (and they will make the ranked mode unbalanced). If you look at any sport qualifiying round to ascend to upper leagues, the teams willing to ascend compete in the same league, not the inmediately upper...
Maybe WG should recommend the UEFA, FIBA, etc what qualifiying is about.

No, as well as all dockyard ships. Simply you can use all ships, that are available during the time you are playing and therefore you have the chance to get that ship. Those listed ships will not be available during current ranked season

U forget most important part , WG dont give a flying freck about us peasants , all that matters is to keep whales happy . so removing ships so only they can use them or the new flag reward removal . all these moves are designed to give them an edge against us. and matchmaking is not broken it was build these way . Bunch of russian radars with stalinium shells vs few minos austins smolensks and colberts is a feature,  just pray u end up on correct side . sure they can add a few lines of code to balance it , so both teams will get same amount of radars and glass cannons but why bother ? Same with new hybrids they can all be on one and u will be raped by planes all the time , so much fun. Sure they can fix it but why ?   it would require some effort and there is no monetary incentive in it . basically same reason we didnt got a new map since 2019 . if its not a money grab or making whales happy its not going to happen .

Golden league is a cursed one!  Had reached rank 4 and now back to 7.... It's incredible that people are playing so badly, witnessing dds dying for no reason and then bbs all getting bunched up in one square in the middle again and again!
Having to carry people that are still qualifying for gold! (why would they be allowed to play with gold league high rank players?)

Yesterday tried 6 matches, won 1, lost 5 in a row...It was horrible and stopped.

Actually they are following the same strategy as WoT: spamming new branches without being properly tested (as intended, they are broken and force playerbase to develop it fast before they nerf the branch just before the newest will come out). Not a single new map, as you said, since 2019, wich it's a shame...
Well, it's their business and we, the players, are guilty of letting them doing so, just by buying all that stuff.

The new ranked system is another mess. The rewards are completely worst than older ranked battles, and the system that is made to force people to play as much as possible, until they are carried to a win, a joke.

Ranked have always been a BINGO… yes sometime a good player can lead his team to victory against all odds. But. Quit e often MM decide who wins. The “new” ranked have the advantage that you win rewards after 3 victory . Therefore you are no longer obliged to reach rank 1. I am happy with these. Avoids a lot of frustration. Concerning the team… well it’s the problem of having hundreds of players with different expertise…

some of most common mistakes IMO: entering ranked in a tier VI BB / CL , not having detonation flag, not having a captain with at least 18 points, not using camo. 
what can you do? Nothing . Be patient and keep trying if for you is so important to reach rank 1.

I personally find out that what matters is steel, and my mental health of course.

Honestly this the part of ranked that really I do not understand and dislike. It’s not enough to struggle and competing to reach rank 1? I have a job man I can’t spend my whole day in front of a pc .
