So the "old bronze" was up to tier 10. And about 66% to 75% (according to their own post season data) never moved on beyond that. Silver = 10 to 6 with no more safe ranks and bonus stars. 5 to 1 = gold now. I don't get how everyone thinks he is entitled to rank 1 like it's a human right. No, it's not. Just like I don't deserve an Olympic participation and gold medal. To quote Crysantos: from defeat, you draw the motivation to play on. So improve. Become a better player. Earn it.

On my opinion, Subs should have a dedicated space only for them, and for no reason being accepted in the rank. Period, it will ruin the last part of the WG that players like. So, i agree with you Black 100% , we will see i, and more and more people will leave for Coop or leave the game ..

ABL, i agree with you that the First place should not be easy or given away easily ( even if after all this is a game isn't it, and not a real life experience ) but also i am thinking is it normal that u make hundreds of games to try to arrive at 1 position and more than often, never happen ? And all that Because of You, Because of the team, Because of the circumstances, etc, santa claus, and still, and after trying and trying and trying, you are still not getting it, then what you do ?  Is that fair, since the '' other team'' seem always to be better than you, no matter what you invent# ?  Speaking of Silver league, btw :(

Try a different strategy. There's no point repeating the same one if it isn't working for you.

 

Play a different class or a different ship. Play ships that are actually useful to your team. 

 

Play Radar Cruisers or DDs that are good at taking and defending control points.

 

DD's are key to winning. Either support your teams DD's and try to keep them alive or play DD yourself and use something useful for capping like Daring or Z-52. You can lose games playing DD and still keep your star because you capped and defended caps.

 

Honestly I ranked out of Gold league 3 times and I'm not an amazing player.

Most annoying things in ranked are:

1. People trying a new ship for first time - should be set a minimum of battles in random before you get to use a particular ship in ranked 10-15-20

2. People bringing ships that they play extremely poorly - PR threshold 500-700-850

? as far i remember old ranked was not easier either also in old ranked if you not manage rank out then you not get doubloons eider . i  not miss old ranked system at all

This is no Ranked. This is something in between Co-Op and Randoms, 7vs7, no Divs allowed, endless loop, shorter games/faster XP grind. 

Its also Steel and Dubs for everyone, no skill required. Just participate, you sooner or later get most of the goodies. 
 

People use it to grind ships. Or just spam games, yolo in etc...soon it will be a bit of a test-mode...
 

Oh I miss the old ranked that was tough but gave you a sense of achievement. Steel meant something, so did Jolly Roger flags. You needed skill to rank out (fast)...

(please spare me the comments ..”but but there were players with 48% WR AND 1000 games on rank one...yeah...a handfull...) - you wanted to rank out in the first 2 weeks you had to be good...you got challenge, you had to learn and improve...

 

I ranked out everytime since I had a T10...now? Don’t care - just do the 29 (now 26) Wins in Gold to max out rewards/effort.

 

Its also not playing among equal player skill levels...teams are so heterognous in all leagues as you cant drop..

 

but I guess the majority of players is happy  about as everyone gets steel to buy Stalin to sit broadside...sad...

The main issue of ranked is MM....your team is lets say 50% OVR...enemy team is lets say 53% OVR + gets 3 people that are 65%+ from lets say hurricane clan, how are you supposed to win? I use mainly wows monitor so at the start of the battle i just know if i really need to put an effort and play or go into "save my star mode" from the start of the game....and then in all that mix you get that little Billy who played 50 games mid T5 and bought ARP Yamato and decided why not start "learning" that ship in ranked, becouse there is no difference between Kongo and Yamato right?  For me ranked its just random 2.0 with less people and tighter tier MM with people mostly using OP ships

It's to farm Free XP and Commander XP that is based on XP (commander xp is based on base xp, free xp is based on total xp), which is best at TX and especially in Ranked because there are so many DD's. Just look at the scorecards, it's easy to get 2000+ XP in win games. Not so much in Randoms, where wins are for decent players around 1600-1700 XP on average and the games take much longer. The ship XP itself is useless unless you convert it to Free XP though.

Well, as for example during previous seasons plenty players managed to reach rank 1, definitely it is possible.

You can have bad luck for teams though, but still you have a chance to be atleast the first of defeated team, to save stars.

There is not much change in this regard comparing to previous Rankeds.

Understood, that for Gold league there is not much change, only that it is required to get less stars to reach rank 1. But as we want to have those leagues subsequential, that reaching higher league is required to play higher tier ship, there is not much to change. But we can consider some changes for another season.

Well, we can't really forbid players trying all their ships.

Also Rankeds are for everybody to try, so also for lower skilled players. But better players generally progress faster. Yes, over time you can meet also some of those players in higher leagues, but atleast not that many

There is always a chance to win, even against all odds. The fact your team is worse in terms of average WR doesn't necesarilly mean, that you are doomed to loose that one. Even better players can make a mistake.

It is possible, that players will use ships, that are consider OP. There are also few of those in techtree, so everybody can use them, if they want. But still it is more recommended to play ships you like personally the most, not that are understood as OP...

Nice to have a (part) of the ranked season at mid tiers instead of always high tiers. There are some very fun ships at t6/7.

I also like the flag. Any information as to what it represents (or is it made up)?

I'll just stick to seal clubbing in Bronze again tbh. No real incentive to put in lots more work for slightly better rewards.

Good question. I will try to get more info about that.

My quess would be, that after the season ends, we have the full data, so it can be awarded all by same time.

This is the only improvement I expect from Ranked Battles, this is from Season 1. 

Here in this image, I reach Gold 1. It's the last game. But there's a matchmaking problem. 4 of my opponents are not even gold. They're on qualifications to gold. I don't think they should be able to be in the same match as me. I think I deserve to be with enemies and teammates who are in gold instead of almost gold. It's just not fair for them.

I'm not sure if this has been resolved, but I don't see it mentioned in either Season 2 or Season 3 announcements, so I thought I should bring this up.
