Except I didn't. Because I already owned one. Yet, I didn't get any compensation, no doubloons. Now to be fair, you never said we would, but you also didn't say we wouldn't.

 

Another PR win then.

You will never receive dbls anymore for premiums in missions  ... just credits. I got credits also for Anshan a while back.

Ah, thanks. That may well be so, I didn't read that.

 

Either way, I couldn't even tell, because credits are plenty. Would have preferred doubloons.

That grind is beyond ridiculous, I'm still on fase 2 and the mission end in 5 days. I have Kirov for years now, don't need credits anyway.

I found it doable. Not easy, but manageable. But it depends on the ships one already has; e.g. I repeatedly parked a Bismarck next to some other BB to farm the 2000 badges with secondaries. The last one took me a while, mostly farmed citadels with my (existing) Kirov, ironically.

 

But my friends whom I invited into the game, they gave up.

I have Kirov and certainly could use the 6M doubloons, but I can't be arsed to jump through all those hoops. Playing normally, I guess I'll get five of the necessary eight million credits (my current stage) and that will be that. Shrug.

Using BB's for the ribbons is a nightmare. I took out my Colbert twice for 1800 ribbons and Kleber for the remaining 200.

 

2000 ribbons in 3 battles. If i didn't own the Colbert, i would have taken out my Minotaur.

 

In a BB it would have taken a LOT longer.

I got 650 ribbons with Smolensk in a ranked battle.

Had to take a drink and a shower after that..... still feel dirty.

Eh. Wasn't that bad. Sure, took me seven or eight games (three is very impressive!), but using an island to surprise a full health enemy BB, then ripping into it with secondaries ... 300 badges easily.

 

I also tried Akizuki with the 3s fire hose, and Smolensk. both kinda worked, but still went back to Bismark, which worked better.

Only done phase 1, and as a co-op,ops only player, that is as far as I can go. At least I have the Kirov; got her when she was still a tech tree ship.

Frankly, a ridiculous grind for a Kirov. Should have been at least T7, if not T8 for those missions.

Funny. I'm not a great player, and I usually explode in the Smolensk in seconds.

 

The Thunderer though? 100k+ every single game, and I'm untouchable. (Also: yes, I set fires from far away, spare me. It's the meta :D )

Well yea. The Thunderer is the most noob friendly ship in the game.

 

 BUT, it's also easier to avoid if you're one of the enemy. Also, the Thunderer doesn't fire so many shells the game can't render them making countering smoke nearly impossible.

 

I'd rather the enemy team had 2 Thunderers than 1 smolensk.

Smolensk's homing beacons are great for smoke-citadels though. The more it spams, the easier it is to locate and often stationary or slow moving and easy to lead. So provided it's not behind an island at an impossible angle requiring a spotter, it's one of my least concerns. Colbert on the move otoh is a *(^$@@#*$ to get a good lead on with some slow reloading BBs.

Have just got the last two phases, however have Kirov already so just the commander and cammo really for me.

 

Did the credit run in ranked and Missouri however that led to me somehow getting to rank 1 and want to stay in bronze so will need to go back to ransoms to complete remainder.

 

should get the basexp done tonight then leaves me a few days for citadels which if don’t complete won’t be the end of the world.

I just started the last mission for 65 kills/cits/floodings so 5 days should be enough to finish it. 

 

However, the grind is hard especially for such a short time limit. More difficult than Anshan and recent dockyards

Isn't it the last sprint of the season anyway so it doesn't matter if you qualify or not, you'll be in bronze next time anyway?

 

Finished this yesterday, a last game with 5 kills, 5 cits and 4 floods in the Gaja helped no end.

I am in the last mission. I think it’s 50 destroyed, 50 cits or 50 something else (which I have forgotten.) And I think they all count to the end result?
I have the Kirov. Its a good ship for its tier. But I haven’t specifically done the missions. They have just followed when playing. 6 m credits is always nice, but I am usually at between 25 and 60 m credits anyway so they dont matter. 
I only find the last mission a bit steep, but it should require some effort to get a free ship I think! 

So for those who does not have Kirov its a good reward and a fun ship with excellent guns! For those who already have it then 6m credits extra while playing as usual should be nice. Plus some ok free stuff along the way.

Kirov herself, ironically. Or failing that any 203mm armed cruiser with high mv.
