Hi guys,

 

I have pressed the button and now participate in this offer, but cannot find the mission in game?
Anyone else knows what i should do to get to these missions?

I've tried to do it via Twitter also and then got a messege that WG had a data leak and i should change my password(which i did ofc).

If you were logged into the WoWs site when you pressed the button, you should have received 2 combat missions.

Just clicked the button and got two missions in the Combat tab (One for USS Kidd and one for US ships). Try logging out and in again.

there is some kind of mistake with these missions - you can do them with ordinary kidd and no special kidd LJ is not in sale

It's inside another news, not a standalone article. It was the Vampire II news IIRC.

BTW it looks like there are two distinct missions:

• The 'Kidd' series gets you a 10 point version of the captain.
• The 'any old US ship' gets you a 6 point version.

So, if you have Kidd, you can make a lot of progress on the second set by doing the first.

Wut? Lerroy Jenkins is from original Warcraft series so what does the abreviation have to do with WOWS? Besides IIRC we already had one bot in WOWS called like that in Dynamo...

Why? If you feel you have to buy a ship so you do NOT have to grind 4 pts in commanders (from 6 to 10 pts) you have a problem. That whole grind is a mere 150k commander XP; which - fully decked out in camos and flags - should take you a very limited amount of games (10 max if you are even barely competent).

Edit: I missed that you can also get a few more signals playing the USS Kidd mission chain. Point still stands.

 

The news article which you have to read to activate the mission chain - JUST BELOW THE PARTICIPATE BUTTON - actually says (copy pasted from the article): "You can complete this chain of combat missions in Random and Ranked Battles, playing [T] VIII Kidd or in Random, Ranked, Co-op, or Scenarios, playing American Tier V–X ships."

 

The missions for all American ships is arguably are easier than the missions in the USS Kidd specific mission chain, and can be completed in many more modes. Edit: You would have a point if the majority of players were to have to buy the USS Kidd to get their hands on Jenkins. But they do not have to at all. Those who would be incapable of getting Jenkins through the non-USS Kidd mission chain, would have an even bigger problem (and would be an even bigger problem for their team) trying to get Jenkins by playing the USS Kidd mission chain.

 

So now it is WG's problem that people are stupid? Because your argument frankly falls into the same stupidity line of argument of someone who decided to buy Georgia for Clan Battles with actual money, and then got angry she was banned (or only allowed in limited number) in Clan Battles, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ANNOUNCED BEFOREHAND AND IN THE RULES THAT THIS CB SEASON WOULD HAVE SHIP BANS IMPLEMENTED DURING THE SEASON IF CERTAIN SHIPS BECAME A PROBLEM IN THE META.

 

 

There is plenty for WG to be yelled at in relation to their greed (see the way they are dealing with the Commander Rework and respecs, for instance), but this one is not.

Leroy Jenkins was a sailor serving on the Kidd. Its a gesture for all the sailors and history fans. Kidd is a nice ship, by the way, so nothing scummy here this time.

Well i finished the grind for the "any US ship" using Nicholas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

 

It was quite a grind and I'm coming to the conclusion that:

 

T5 tech tree DDs are all a PITA to play due to negative stealth torping ability

american BBs suck.

(also, but OT< T8 tech tree BBs - are there any decent ones? they all suck so far, particularly when you're in a T10 match)

 

TBH I was hoping for something other than just a 6 pt captain with a unique name and picture given how grindy it was. - even the voice over is the same.

Without a doubt there's some terrible^tm problems with the user, but I'm struggling to find a redeeming feature of them at the moment.

They get better(start moving in a speed that enables to be in the battle before its over) with every tier if u get past that tiny user problem.
