its not bad when you have somebody in range. the concealment is great but you rally cant shoot on anyone with 11.1km range. i am really enjoying it but its so much pain

WG thinks that Flint was too strong and probably they are right about that. As they can't nerf Premium ships, they took advantage of the captain rework to do that indirectly. I think the only realistic option to them is to introduce a new module which gives range, but cuts reload ...

Come on WG, please either give Flint same range as Atlanta or give her preferential MM (but I prefer the first option).  She gets to meet tier 8 & 9 and there is 12km radar and almost all targets out-range you, even dds have 11km guns' range!

i dont think its too strong, when you go against 8 and 9 trier you like at least half the battle cant shoot at anything. even dds can shoot further, and I am not mentioning the 12 km radar...

i dont think its too strong, when you go against 8 and 9 trier you like at least half the battle cant shoot at anything. even dds can shoot further, and I am not mentioning the 12 km radar...

As You see now it seems hard to play or even weak, before it looked too good when comparing to other ships. I don't think so that WG will change it to previous state , without some tricks like this module i proposed. And it was never sold for money so they can ignore her state forever.

 

Btw. some ships like ex. Mikasa was however sold for money and was very crappy in games with humans, but they they never corrected her anyway despite years of asking about it from community. However now this ships is powerhouse, becouse stupid bots introduced to random games ...

yeah i dont want it to be too good but I want to at least shoot at someone, if smolensk is ok why this is not

Ok, but there is a rule of WG: there are no direct nerfs for premium ships, so WG can't just add range and nerf something else. Except this trick with a possible new module i proposed.

They wanted, but people mass protested (me too) and they agreed to this. However now a new premium ships have a clause that they can be ballanced as they see fit.

I can't agree or disagree because i don't know the opinions of other players and didn't hear such a consensus unless you mean WG thought Flint was better than Atlanta.

Atlanta was already better to some players by simply having radar as they used it like a radar Mino but it is a riskier game play and requires more skill. Flint was also abused in Atlanta divisions with its smoke. After commander rework WG said Flint was too powerful with smoke hence they only buffed Atlanta range  and left Flint at base range. I didn't buy this explanation and my guess is they did it because Atlanta is a premium.

I think server statistics can give us this answer. I looked at the best Flint players on the server and compared their solo games in Lanta and Flint. It looks like this for many of them, so the difference seems huge.

 

btw. I'm not for that nerf, but I'm trying to be objective.

I understand and there isn't much difference in the numbers you posted knowing they represent extremely small portion of the Atlanta-Flint owners. When i check the top 100 and 200 players of Flint and Atlanta from wows numbers i see way more sunicum players with Atlanta. If div'ing up was the problem they could have restricted one of the ships from divisioning with another instead of leaving a Tier 7 cruiser at Tier 1 level firing range. To me, they just took advantage of the skill rework to sell more Atlanta.

@Odo_Toothless that Flamu vid is hardly the best proof:

- stems from a time when tier VII was almost always top tier,

- when AA meant something,

- when O marks the spot wasn't built into the game

-...

 

Not saying Flint is bad/strong now. Don't know, don't have the ship and rarely encounter one.

I do say that this video is not an accurate description of the current environment of a Flint.

You can not compare 44 battles to 541battles that is just totally wrong as the averages for the Flint will come down the more battles you play, Atlanta is far stronger than flint now than before rework.

Nah. Give it concealment mod so can get closer and stealth torp.:cap_cool:
