In-game rare items AUCTION

WG announces an incoming in-game rare items auction. I believe this is a great way to increase its revenue, in fact, through the auction, the sale price of a specific rare ship could be much higher than what it could get from the armoury.

Imagine how much a “Giulio Cesare” or a “Missouri” could be required for example.

How much would you be willing to offer for them?

Bahaha hahahahaha

I thought Admiral packs are overpriced AF, but I guess ppl are.stupid enough to throw large amount of money to WG for some virtual pixel ships.

This gonna be good...

Notice how they remain vague on what those "rare items" are. Somehow I doubt they'll add Nikolai or Missouri in there...

Pretty sure that ships will not be auctionable. I expect camos, signals, flags, patches, maybe upgrades - stuff like that.

I doubt that they will sell ships that way.

Pretty much the same thing, as you can get in-game resources by spending money :P

If nothing else it’s going to be a good laugh to see just how ridiculous some people are will too get with their bids.

Still should be a fantastic money spinner for WG.

They didn’t define the “rare goods” and gave flags as an example. Hence, I’m not sure if ships will be included in the auction which would be something against WG’s own profit/policy, anyway.

Maybe not soon, but in the long term I believe this is the goal of Wargaming, so much that the announcement does not specify what rare items can be.

Imagine how profitable it could be for Wargaming to auction off a few much-desired ships: we all know well that hordes of whales would be ready to throw money at them, while the numbers of these ships on servers would not change much.

I guess it's a fine way for WG to find out how much value players give to certain resources, and how much they're willing to spend on things. And obviously it should get them some extra cash income as well, as this auction thing could be a huge resource-sink for those players who spend some real cash and thus have more ingame resources than free-to-play players.

Not sure about how I feel about this though. I guess I shouldn't mind other people financially support a game I like to play.

as far as I remember: yes, although the main content should be something like "join the KotS discord for information"

Really ?

It looks a lot like the Black Market from WoT where WG is selling rare premium tanks at over the top prices ...

The Auction should include 'special camos'...

you know: Blue Whale, White Whale, Humperback Whale, etc....:Smile_trollface:

Maybe not for now but in the future I would not be surprised to see some premium ships there, like those low tiers for a start like Konig Albert or Vampire for example. I mean we are talking about WG here, just remember all they "nevers" and how that ended.
