Dynamics of high tier battleships and cruisers

At the lower and middle tiers the game is relatively well balanced so there is quite a variety of ship types which helps to make the game fun. However at higher tiers (tier 8 and over) the game just becomes dominated by battleships. Not only can they sink a cruiser with only two or three salvos, but given that the map is only about 40km squared, and most battleships have a range of about 20km, it is almost guaranteed that the moment you try to engage you will have multiple battleships firing at you. This has killed the game’s diversity as there are now very few non-battleship players in the high tiers, which just worsens the problem as there are far more battleships per match. I understand that decreasing the power of high tier battleships would be an incredibly unpopular solution, but it would help keep the game fun if high tier cruisers were made slightly harder to sink. Alternatively a larger map would mean that ships were more spread out, so it would mean that there were fewer ships firing at one target at the same time, which usually results in a fast and unavoidable sinking.

If you ask me, low tier cruisers a in a worse situation than high tier ones, because they have no heal. and mostly no other consumables like radar etc...

At high tiers the phenomenon get worse when there are supercruisers/battlecruisers, which are quite similar to battleships in many ways, but they count as a cruiser for the MM, resulting in a static match. The poor team, that has the standard cruisers, will experience the early loss of a ship or a heavy camping cruiser: in both cases it would be no fun for the teams.
