First game in FDR and a shout out

First game in FDR, ranked. The thing is broken, sorry. I didn't do a lot of damage, 50k or so, but there was no AA, really. Harassed a Des Moines, of all things, bombed a Petropavlovsk, torpedoed a Montana with all 8 fish... jeez. And, of course, got reported and lost 2 karma! For any viewers out there worried about my karma, it's always zero. No karmas were harmed.

 

A shout out to @Lordcrafty for two fun games. He won one, I won one, good games.

If you are doing 50k dmg in FDR then I suggest going back to tier IV and practice with carriers....

As if that wasn't possible in Midway and Haku.

 

FDR is broken because it is too easy to play and can easily focus a single ship too hard, but not because of its overall damage potential.

If you were zero karma at the start, then you would not see those "minus two". 

It probably means two thought you were good, and those gave you a plus.

Then two thought you were bad and gave you a minus. 

 

Net result, nothing gained nothing lost. 
But I always have zero karma as well, and I only see "you were reported" if I lost any.
I never see it when I have zero karma anyway, and I am sure I get lots of reports... yes, FDR... 

 

BTW all CVs are broken, as there is no counterplay, just "damage negation". You cannot outplay the CV.
Damage is "balanced"... well... not in this case.

I can play CVs well sometimes, but it takes some thought and concentration. FDR? I can potato and still do something. "Look, ma! No hands "!

I find that in other CVs it is me doing the work,

in FDR, the thing is so slow, actually skill doesn't matter...

Not your own skill anyway... but the taters on the reds. 

 

For example, I had smart BB players avoid 6 out of 8 torps. And such. 

If they eat all the droppings... it is NOT the talent of the CV player.
