Is it rude to compliment really bad cv players when they are in the enemy team?

It could certainly be seen as sarcastic, like a golf clap. Whether someone would take offence at that <shrug>

That's fine. I report CV players simply because they deserve it. I also compliment for Good Manners if an enemy players does something really stupid and i slaughter or dev struck them.

True, but every now and then I enjoy a sporadic cv game. If the opposition is bad, it's more relaxing.

For me - in any ship - it's: Compliment -> which forumite did I not notice in that battle?

Not that I get many compliments... quite contrary... :cap_haloween:

Dear OP you sir are evil but I love it, I’m certain though most think wow they are great.

To be for it also might  explain  my own karma if it’s meant sarcastically.

Really? So that's why everybody keeps showing him broadside, which he can then use as arguments for ships being OP.

I just carried a game where our CV had a whopping 20% winrate. Fiji included in the screenshot because he was a hero

When I play CV, I give "good manners" compliment to DDs that leave their AA on.

I never use compliments sarcastically. I find the idea quite immature. Compliments are intended to show your respect for another players good performance or an action that helped you have a decisive impact on the game, like e.g. a DD smoking you up so you could burn down a few BBs. If a person does not use his compliments but has them left for non-sense actions like sarcastic compliments, it tells me they are pretty negative and disrespectful. It means you use your reports to punish and your compliments to taunt. But good performance or manners, you don't bother noticing. Personally I think whoever doesn't use his compliments the correct way, has forfeit every justification to report others.

I try to compliment people who do well. I won't pretend I am holier than the pope and don't report a lot, but I also try keeping pace with my compliments. Sometimes I compliment people who I see have too low karma for their performance, cause they likely get punished for their saltiness a lot, so I find it worthy compensating that. I also use my compliments to counter reports that some less bright player gives for a non-sense reason. Typically if some potato accuses an enemy of cheating in global chat cause he got owned, and asks everyone to report that player, I will compliment that enemy player to counter those reports.

Also this:

If some player is performing badly over thousands of games, ironic compliments will likely not be interpreted the right way, but encourage him in his undesirable play.
